    Grant Allen is Senior Vice President of ABB Technology Ventures (ATV).

    Previously, Allen was a Vice President with Core Capital Partners, a Washington, D.C.-based venture capital firm with $350 million under management. There, he focused on investments in analytics, cleantech, infrastructure, wireless communications and mobile applications. In addition to working closely with Infinite Power Solutions, a thin-film lithium ion battery company, and representing Core on the Boards of Directors of Mobo Systems and Univa, Allen was on the Steering Committee for the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association’s (MAVA) Capital Connection and on the board of MobileMonday DC.

    Prior to Core Capital, he was a Product Manager at Microsoft Corporation in the Mobile & Embedded Devices division. Other experience includes working for Liberty Associated Partners, the investment arm of the Berkman family, where was actively involved with Jingle Networks; strategy consulting at Dean & Company; and various start-ups, including an IT consulting firm, A-k Presence, he co-founded as an engineering undergraduate at Duke.

    Allen holds a BSE in civil and environmental engineering with honors from Duke University and an MBA from The Wharton School where he was on the board of the Wharton Alumni Association and a Citi Foundation Leadership Fellow.

    Katherine O’Neill is the Executive Director for JumpStart New Jersey Angel Network, a member led angel investor group that invests in early stage high growth companies in Mid-Atlantic region, and an investor in technology businesses. She currently serves on the Board of the Angel Capital Association ACA the national organization representing angel investor groups in North America. She recently was the Program Chair of the ACA National Leadership Conference held in 2010. Katherine represents the ACA at both national and international events. Katherine is a member of the NJ Economic Development Authority Edison Fund Advisory Board, Ben Franklin Technology Partners of SEPA Advisory Board, NJ Technology CFO Advisory Board, Princeton University MIRTHE Investment Focus Group and Rutgers Innovation Park Advisory Board. In recent years she has spoken at and judged business plan competitions both regionally and nationally at events such as IMPACT, Astia, Microsoft BizSpark NYC competition, Tri State Donald W. Reynolds Cup, Princeton University Jumpstart Innovation Forum and Start Up Weekend Princeton.

    Katherine is a seasoned financial executive and investor in early stage enterprises with extensive experience in start up and entrepreneurial operations as well as operational experiences in a diverse range of businesses. She has particular expertise developing technology-based business as well as strategic business plans. She has extensive multinational experience and financial operation management and knowledge of healthcare pharmaceuticals, information systems, e-commerce and social media. She is the president of O’Neill Associates and consults with technology companies and acts as interim CFO.

    John May is the managing partner of New Vantage Group, a McLean, VA firm that innovatively mobilizes private equity into early-stage companies and provides advisory services to both funds, private investors and entrepreneurs. Mr. May’s experience in private equity capital over the last 25 years ranges from venture capital fund management to angel investing in the USA and angel ecosystem development abroad. Mr. May has been at the forefront of the angel investor movement. He is the founder of five investment groups, as well as the Investors' Circle, a national non-profit group of 125 family and institutional investors working to grow the social venture capital industry. He is chair-emeritus of the Angel Capital Association (formerly a program of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation), and is a lead instructor for the “Power of Angel Investing” seminars, a program of the Angel Resource Institute. He is the co-author of two books, Every Business Needs an Angel (Crown Business: 2001) and State of the Art: An Executive Briefing on Cutting-Edge Practices in American Angel Investing (Darden Publishing: 2003). Currently, Mr. May is actively involved with cross-border angel investing and developing angel investment ecosystems in emerging markets. In addition to speaking on angel investment topics in over 20 countries, he is managing partner of Seraphim, a UK-based global venture fund, and is working on USAID projects promoting the formation of angel groups in Indonesia and the Middle East. He also serves on the advisory board for Conservation International’s “Verde Investments.” Mr. May firmly believes that angel investing can trigger success in high-growth companies that spur job creation and economic development around the world. Mr. May holds a BA from Earlham College, an MPA from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and is a Batten Fellow at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.

    Aaron Pollock joined SWaN & Legend in 2013 and is a Senior Analyst at the firm. He focuses primarily on investment opportunities in sports and entertainment, consumer goods and retail, education, and social media. Prior to joining SWaN & Legend, Aaron was an analyst at Grace Matthews, a middle market investment bank based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

    Mr. Pollock received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance along with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science and Rhetoric from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

    Joe is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking practice of Evergreen Advisors and oversees our Northern Virginia Office in Tysons Corner. Over the course of his 25-year career in principal investing, financial management, public accounting and investment banking, Joe has executed a broad spectrum of transactions including: convertible and high yield debt, IPOs and follow on equity offerings, private placements of debt and equity, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring/bankruptcy advisory engagements. His expertise spans multiple industries, transaction types, and stages of company development. Over the past 15 years Joe has been focused on advising high growth companies across the converging value chains of the communications and media industries.

    Joe is currently an investor and served on the board of directors of iCore Networks, Inc., from 2008 – 2011, a privately held provider of cloud based communication services to small and medium businesses in the greater Washington, DC area. The company placed 29th on the 2009 Inc. 500 list of the fastest growing private companies.

    Most recently, Joe served as the CFO of CTB Group, Inc., a development stage company focused on aggregating and repurposing UHF TV spectrum to develop a mobile broadband, content delivery network. He was responsible for developing the business model, as well as capital raising, corporate development, and all financial matters of the venture.

    Prior to joining CTB, Joe served as an investment professional and acting CFO to Capitol Acquisition Corp., a $262 million Special Purpose Acquisition Corporation (NYSE: CLA). At CLA Joe was responsible for sourcing, developing, due diligence, structuring and documenting potential transactions. After reviewing potential transactions with approximately 200 private and public companies, he led the deal team that obtained shareholder approval and closed the merger with Two Harbors Investment Corp. (NYSE: TWO).

    Previously, Joe was a Managing Director in the Technology, Media and Telecom Investment Banking team of Friedman Billings & Ramsey & Co., Inc. where he headed the firm’s communications and media investment banking unit. Joe was responsible for over $4.5 billion of public and private equity offerings, convertible debt offerings, and mergers and acquisitions over his 10 year career with the firm.

    Earlier, Joe served in a variety of leadership roles at Arthur Andersen. Most recently, he served as a Senior Manager of the Corporate Finance Group. He also served as a Manager of the Tax Division. Joe is a CPA certificate holder and graduated from the University of Maryland in 1988 with a B. Sc. in accounting. He holds Series 7, General Securities Representative, Series 79, Investment Banking Representative, and Series 24 General Securities Principal Licenses.

    Kevin is an audit partner and performs audits of public and private companies and assists them with the financial and operational aspects of their business.

    He helps clients obtain sources of capital and provides M&A and strategic alliance analysis. Kevin has industry experience in numerous sectors including technology, private equity and venture capital, life sciences, manufacturing and distribution, professional services, and financial services. He has extensive experience with 33 Act and 34 Exchange Act filings, including initial public offerings.

    Kevin has extensive experience in working with private equity and venture capital entities at the fund level and the portfolio company level. He brings practical experience in working with earlier stage companies to assist them in dealing with issues they face as they progress along their development timeline. He is actively involved in many technology focused organizations. He is an angel investor in the Angel Round Capital Fund located in New York City, where he serves on the Executive Committee and also chairs the Audit Committee.

    Kevin has been quoted in numerous business publications such as Crain's New York Business, Fortune Small Business, Commerce magazine and NJBIZ. He has also been a speaker at the New York State Bar Association and the New Jersey Bar Association. Kevin has appeared on Bloomberg Radio, CNBC and NBC.

    Kevin's career also includes 10 years of professional experience with two of the Big 4 and national accounting firms.

    Joe Rinaldi, Quantum Financial Advisors, Inc.  Joe Rinaldi, Quantum Financial Advisors, Inc.

    Mr. Rinaldi has over a twenty five year career on both the buy and sell sides of Wall Street and banking. His expertise includes portfolio& risk management, institutional sales & trading , asset securitization & structured finance. Mr. Rinaldi is a partner of and operates a SEC registered asset management/advisory firm that manages money similar to a hedge fund, but on a separate account basis with full transparency and full liquidity.

    Mr. Rinaldi’s selected career accomplishments include; successfully started a money management / financial advisor company that has a successful 15 year track record, during the S & L debacle of the early nineties he was a senior capital markets specialist at the FDIC/RTC that assisted in the resolution of banks by closing them, valued assets, determined best execution and reserve price, recommended securitization or asset sales, reviewed reverse engineering possibilities, created markets for illiquid assets, traded over thirty five billion in assets, was a member of the RTC’s Investment Committee for Franklin Savings and was responsible for the oversight of this eight billion bank, dynamically traded a two billion hedged position that reduce hedging costs by one million and co-authored , “A beginning Guide To Alternative Assets”, June 2014.

    Mr. Rinaldi also teaches “Futures, Options and other Derivatives” at the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland (College Park) to graduate and undergraduate students.
