Bradmer Foods partners with specialty food and beverage entrepreneurs to help grow their niche businesses into niche leaders. We typically work with companies that have $1-$60+ million in annual revenue and expect that management will continue to lead the business after our investment. We do not consider turnaround situations, traditional early stage financings of start-ups, restaurants, nutraceuticals or supplements.
One of our most important criteria is that we partner with entrepreneurs who are also looking for a liquidity event. This event may come in many forms — a management buyback, an investment from another financial institution or a strategic sale — but we target an exit from our investment in 3-5 years. As a result, we seek entrepreneurs whose vision for their company fits that timeframe.

Adam Borden is the founder and Managing Director of Bradmer Foods, a private equity firm that invests in and develops food and beverage companies. Bradmer Foods currently has five portfolio companies: Adina Beverages, an organic & Fair Trade drink company; Blue Horizon Wild, one of the leading marketers of sustainably harvested seafood products; Charles Chocolates, a San Francisco boutique chocolatier; Organic To Go, a West Coast organic catering and retail operation; and Sambazon, the global pioneer in açai products. He has spoken professionally at the Fancy Food Shows, the New England Culinary Institute and the Ross School of Business on food entrepreneurship. Adam previously worked as the Marketing and E-Commerce Manager for Petrossian, the Paris-based caviar and luxury food importer and distributor, where he co-managed the direct-to-consumer business and overall marketing for the firm. At the same time, he served on the James Beard Foundation Programming Committee, organizing many fundraising dinners with chefs from across the country. Adam has an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and a BA in art history from Wesleyan University.

Adina offers two different beverage lines: Adina Holistics, an Ayurvedic-inspired line of refreshing lighter calorie beverages; and Adina Organic Coffees, a full-flavored coffee beverage with great taste and less sugar than their leading rival. |

Charles Chocolates San Francisco-based Charles Chocolates is an artisan confectioner that makes small batch chocolates and other handmade sweets. Started in 2004 by 20-year chocolate industry veteran Chuck Siegel, Charles Chocolates has received rave reviews in the Bay Area and nationally with its Peanut Butterflies, single-grape varietal pâtes de fruits and other delicious confections. Charles Chocolates uses Strauss Creamery organic cream and butter as well as organic herbs, fruits and nuts in its product line. |

Organic To Go is a retail store, caterer and meal delivery service that provides delicious and natural soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees packaged for convenient take-out or delivery. All Organic To Go fare is made with organic or naturally grown ingredients. Organic To Go brings similar pricing and delivery services as other box lunch retailers and cafes even though the ingredients are typically more costly. |

Blue Horizon Wild supplies sustainably harvested frozen seafood products to the North American market. Its product line includes lobster mac and cheese, crab cakes and fish sticks, all made with healthy, safe seafood. Company founder John Battendieri started Santa Cruz Organic and is a 30-year veteran of the natural foods industry. The company CEO, Michael Rice, is a consumer product branding expert who co-founded the Sterling-Rice Group. |
