We invest in early- to mid-stage companies. Companies at this stage have largely completed initial product development efforts and are initiating or expanding product commercialization. As such, some level of customer adoption has been achieved.
We invest in conjunction with other experienced venture investors. We believe in complementary resource networks of multiple venture capital firms that can be brought to bear on behalf of a company, and the financial resources and flexibility a broader network of investors provides.

Jay Corscadden

Jay Corscadden has worked extensively with emerging growth technology companies. While at Adams, Harkness & Hill, Jay focused on advising technology companies with respect to raising public and private equity capital and in mergers and acquisitions transactions. During that tenure, he helped his clients successfully complete more than $2.8 billion of transaction volume. Until joining the Fund full time in early 2001, Jay spent nearly seven years as an investment banker in the Technology Group at Adams, Harkness & Hill. Jay currently manages the Firm's investments in Endeca, IE-Engine, and ChipWrights.

Endeca’s software, based upon meta-relational indexing, is designed specifically to navigate enormous quantities of enterprise data and make those data meaningful to business users. |

IE-Engine’s software is designed specifically to be the management and execution platform for the HR manager. The product addresses the business concern of rising health care benefit and related costs, currently the #2 employee-related costs on P&L statements. |

ChipWrights ChipWrights is a fabless semiconductors company that has developed a line of digital visual signal processors designed for the image-processing marketplace. The company's product is a programmable integrated circuit that allows for high-quality video capture and playback for consumer and industrial applications, including battery-powered, portable devices. |
