The DreamIt Managing Partners designed DreamIt to be the startup accelerator program they wish existed when they started and sold their first companies. New startups today need only a little funding, but they need more help and support than ever before. They need a community of fellow entrepreneurs to share ideas and inspiration, technologists to join their team, mentors and coaches who have struggled on their way to a big success, legal and accounting services that don't cost precious cash, and opportunities to meet and pitch angel investors and venture capitalists.
The DreamIt team knows how hard it is because they launched their own startups alongside the DreamIt companies: David Bookspan started Monetate, Mike Levinson started WizeHive, Steve Welch started his political campaign for US Congress, Steve Barsh started PackLate and Kerry Rupp started Holiday Golightly.

The proof is in our companies. DreamIt '08 company SCVNGR just raised $4 million from Google Ventures and is already cash-flow positive, with over $1 million in revenue. DreamIt '09 company NoteHall was featured on ABC's Shark Tank, where they earned an investment in front of millions of primetime TV viewers. Another DreamIt '09 company SeatGeek closed an angel round and was a finalist in the TechCrunch 50.

Kerry Rupp

Kerry is an entrepreneur and executive who will be leading the 2010 DreamIt program. Kerry is the Founder of Holiday Golightly, an online travel service specializing in girlfriend getaway trips. She also provides marketing and strategy consulting to senior executives at companies such as AllRecipes.com, LexisNexis, Payscale, and Taleo. She has 17 years of strategic planning and operational management experience, having served as Vice President of Business Development at Jobster and Classmates.com, Managing Director & Vice President of Market Planning at LexisNexis, and Consultant at both McKinsey & Company and Andersen Consulting. Her experience also includes several stints at start-ups, holding management roles at MarketSpan and CourtLink before their acquisition by LexisNexis and at Automated Catalogue Services before its acquisition by Sterling Commerce. Kerry was the editor of the book "CRAVE Austin: The Urban Girls’ Manifesto" (2009), and the co-publisher/editor of "The Parisian Cowboy’s Guide to the Round Top Experience" (2010). Kerry holds a BA in Biology from Duke University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
