Brian is a co-founder of Tribeca Venture Partners. Prior to starting Tribeca Venture Partners, Brian was a founder and Managing Director of GSA Venture Partners, formerly the venture arm of Greenhill & Co (NYSE: GHL). Prior to GSAVP, Brian was a Principal at Sterling Venture Partners and a Vice President at ABN AMRO Private Equity. Prior investments at prior funds include YellowJacket (acquired by InterContinental Exchange (NYSE:ICE)), KnowledgeStorm (acquired by TechTarget (NASDAQ: TTGT)), eCredit (acquired by Fidelity Ventures), OpenWave Systems (NASDAQ: OPWV) and Daleen Technologies (NASDAQ: DALN).

Brian is currently a board member or responsible for the investments in Coinsetter, CommonBond, CrowdTap, Flat World Knowledge, FTRANS, HomeSphere, Just Sing It, Lendio, Mobile Commons, Pontiflex, RealDirect, ShopKeep, Spanfeller Media Group, Truveris and Vook.

Brian serves on the Board of Directors of the New York Venture Capital Association (NYVCA) where he founded the Ingenuity Conference, one of NY's largest annual venture events. He is also a co-founder and Organizer of the NYC Turing Fellows Program. Brian has a BA in economics and American studies from Brandeis University.

Flat World Knowledge Flat World Knowledge (FWK) is transforming the college textbook publishing market. FWK publishes textbooks from the world's top authors and distributes them for free in a digital, open-source format for instructors to customize, and share if desired. The company earns revenue and pays its authors royalties by providing students with options to purchase print-on-demand textbooks, digital study guides, and mobile flashcards at a fraction of the cost of traditional textbooks. FWK enhances the student experience by facilitating a vibrant learning network around the textbooks where students can create, share, and sell study resources to one another.
Lendio Lendio makes small business loans simple by matching qualified small business owners with active banks, credit unions, and other lending sources. Through proprietary matching technology, Lendio helps businessowners identify their appropriate loan category, and then delivers step-by-step direction on how to obtain business loan approval from their most probable lender matches significantly streamlining the loan acquisition process.
RealDirect RealDirect allows sellers of residential real estate to efficiently sell and manage their properties. Users can create their own listing, buy media distribution and get access to the local MLS (multiple listing service), manage leads and web presence through free applications. RealDirect provides users with data and analytics to determine how to price their property and improve the results of their campaign. RealDirect aims to be the "TurboTax or eTrade for home sellers."
FTRANS FTRANS allows B2B companies to outsource their Accounts Receivable (A/R) functions, collections, and credit risk to financial institutions. With FTRANS, businesses can receive a loan against A/R to shorten cash collections. FTRANS' product is delivered through a web-based platform that integrates and processes transactions between B2B sellers, buyers, and banks. FTRANS' customers range across manufacturing, wholesale, distributors, and service businesses, including law firms, marketing service firms, air filtration manufacturers, sporting goods manufacturers, trucking and transport companies and many other businesses driving the American economy.
