The $95 million Alexander Hutton Venture Partners fund was inaugurated in December 1999. Our venture fund builds on the strong performance of Alexander Hutton Capital, LLC, a regional investment-banking firm that has raised capital for technology start-ups since 1995. Senior Vice President
Alexander Hutton Venture Partners
Tom Johnston is currently serving as Senior Vice President of Product and Marketing at NetMotion Wireless, an AHVP portfolio company.
He held several senior marketing positions with Microsoft Corporation between 1990 and 1998. As a group product manager for Microsoft, Tom led the team responsible for marketing the Windows desktop platform and Internet Explorer-including XML-to developers and Web professionals. Previously, he was lead program manager for Microsoft's Internet security product unit.
Tom also conducted business development for Microsoft's advanced consumer technology division, forging partnerships with wireless communication firms to enable two-way communication for handheld computing devices. He has also held product management roles for Windows NT and Microsoft's network business unit.
Tom has an A.B. in Mathematics and History from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from Dartmouth's Amos Tuck School of Business.
||Metrika, Inc. manufactures and sells single-use, hand-held, rapid-response medical diagnostic products to monitor diabetes. Metrika's first product, A1cNOW™, allows monitoring of HbA1c, the "gold standard" indicator of diabetes status and efficacy of disease management. The A1cNOW technology is an advanced, miniaturized photo-optical system that is single-use and provides immediate results. |
