Melissa Widner has a successful background founding and growing companies.
Melissa joined SeaPoint Ventures in 1999 as an associate partner and became a general partner in 2001. She is the cofounder of 7Software, an enterprise software company providing web based applications for corporate e-procurement. As CEO, Melissa managed the company from inception to a successful acquisition by Concur Technologies, Inc. Previously Melissa was the CEO of Northwest Supply, an industrial products manufacturer and distributor.
Melissa was a board director at PocketThis and PowerTech -- SeaPoint portfolio companies acquired in 2008. She was the founder and first president of the Northwest Chapter of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and a member of the board of the Alliance of Angels. Melissa is a lecturer at the University of Washington's Graduate School of Business where she teaches courses on venture capital and entrepreneurship. She holds an MA from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Washington.
