In today's environment, more than ever, developing startup companies into market leaders requires guidance, focus and experience in addition to capital. With a mission of creating future industry leaders by assisting entrepreneurs, Gabriel Venture Partners is a "hands-on" venture capital firm that leverages the deep operating experience of its team to grow equity value in our portfolio companies. We take great pride in knowing that any one of our portfolio company CEOs could attest to Gabriel's assistance throughout key growth cycles in the company's history, and our passion in leveraging our collected experience, resources, and discipline through best-practice investment processes to build tomorrow's market leaders.
As an early-stage fund, we believe in focusing our investments in areas that we not only know well but can also bring relevant resources and networks into play to create rapid and valuable growth for our portfolio companies. Our core areas of investment are Networking, Communications, and Information Technologies with specific market emphasis in Wireless, Infrastructure Software & Systems, and Enterprise Software & Services. We currently manage two funds from our offices in Silicon Valley and the Mid-Atlantic Region, with a portfolio of companies located primarily on the West and East Coasts.
Given our Funds' sizes and our areas of expertise, our sweet-spot for investing lies with young companies that have already significant progress with initial product development and initial revenue traction. However, our investment thesis-driven focus means that we are always looking at innovative early-stage companies ranging from seed to later-stage, depending on sector and opportunity. Because we strive to be an active, long-term partner with each of our portfolio companies, we believe in leading each investment that we make, or else co-leading and syndicating with other top-tier venture firms who share Gabriel's philosophy of actively engaging with young companies to maximize value growth. We generally invest between $500K to $10M in a company over the life of an investment.
