    Arris Ventures was founded in the summer of 2001. Recognizing the large disparity between young high-growth potential companies and little venture capital presence in the Southwest, we set out to bring a renewed responsiveness and valuable element to the infrastructure of technology and life science communities in the region. We meet the demand of an underserved venture capital market: a market that comprises some of the fastest growing businesses and brightest entrepreneurial talent.

    Arris Ventures relies on the collective business and financial expertise of our principals who have invested more than $100 million in private equity.     We have successfully harnessed distinct intellectual capital by developing an internationally recognized Advisory Board. As acclaimed business leaders with government and educational distinctions, this group gives advice to the fund managers and consults on investment strategy. Our Scientific Advisory Committee, which includes some of the world's leading medical research scientists and doctors, identifies investment opportunities and provides assistance to biotech and life science portfolio companies. With the recent announcement of the International Genomics Consortium and Translational Genomics Research Institute, Arizona is poised to become a global life science hub. Our Executive Network, comprised of accomplished business executives, brings expertise to our portfolio companies in various business disciplines such as sales and marketing, product development, operations, finance, customer service, and real estate.     Mr. Stowell brings 14 years of consulting, entrepreneurial, and technology experience to Arris Ventures. As a senior manager with Accenture, he assisted clients in a variety of areas including business process design and business strategies for marketing, eCommerce, and the launching of new businesses. As program manager of Accenture's eProcess initiative, Mr. Stowell developed and globally deployed eCommerce knowledge capital to over 30,000 of Accenture's professionals, as well as its clients. Prior to his work at Accenture, he served as a regional sales manager and technical consultant for Arizona-based, start-up software company, Sequentia. Mr. Stowell's early career included several engineering positions with Honeywell. He holds an MBA from Arizona State University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

    Quantum Energy Systems Quantum Energy Systems is the leading developer of clean and efficient electrical power generation systems based on its proprietary Non-Linear Plasma Energy technology. Its systems provide the residential, commercial, industrial, transportation and other electricity-intensive markets and suppliers with a primary, alternative source of electrical power that is substantially more cost-competitive than that provided by the utility grid and other alternative generation technologies on the market today.
