Ken Hanau

Ken joined 3i in 2006 and is a founding Partner of 3i US Growth Capital in North America. He focuses on the industrial and media sectors and was involved in investments in Mold Masters and Grupo Union Radio. He also leads the North American Team.
Prior to joining 3i, Ken held senior positions with Weiss, Peck & Greer and Halyard Capital, leading investments in the industrial, media and business services sectors. Over his investing career, Ken has been involved in investments in Village Voice Media, Richelieu Foods, Color Associates, American Community Newspapers, Tranzact and Women's Marketing Inc. In addition to his private equity experience, Ken worked at Morgan Stanley in investment banking and at K&H Corrugated Case Corporation, a family-owned business.
Ken is a Chartered Accountant and started his career with Coopers & Lybrand. He received his B.A. with honors from Amherst College and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Ken is on the Board of Mold Masters.

Mold Masters Family business Mold-Masters is a world-leading supplier of specialty components to the plastics industry, with clients in over 40 countries. Its core product is hot runners - a high-value component in the plastic injection molding process. Mold-Masters has an unrivalled reputation for technological excellence, and has registered over 1,600 patents. 3i's investment will be used to accelerate growth in Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America, including acquisitions where relevant. |

Unión Radio Unión Radio is valued at €1.3bn and owns 100% of Cadena Ser and Grupo Latino de Radio (GLR) which collectively controls more than 1,250 radio stations in Spain and Latin America. 3i has initially invested €125m, out of total commitment of €225m, via a private placement and capital increase. Unión Radio has more than 22 million listeners worldwide. It includes more than 1,250 fullly owned and associated radio stations across Spain, USA, Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Argentina and Chile. |
