Contour Venture Partners is a New York based early stage venture capital firm focused on working with companies that provide leading-edge technology enhanced products and services in the financial services, internet and business services sectors. We partner with passionate entrepreneurs and management teams to build great businesses that will ultimately transform their industries. The professionals at Contour have been active in all stages of venture capital throughout their careers and understand the unique set of challenges facing management teams at each phase as our portfolio companies grow. The principals at Contour have a long and successful track record, having directly supported over 40 companies through numerous market cycles since the late 1980s. The target investment size is between $300,000 and $1.5 million per round and we prefer to act as the lead or co-lead investor as well as represent the first institutional capital in the company.

Matt Gorin is a general partner and co-founder of Contour Venture Partners and has experience in technology operations, start-ups and turnaround management, with a focus on the financial services and applied technology sectors. Matt was previously part of the launch team at Promontory Interfinancial Network and before that worked at Red Hat. Earlier in his career Matt was at Morgan Stanley within its financial services focused venture capital fund and was a turnaround consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Some of his investments include YellowJacket Software, SwapDrive, On Deck Capital and OwnEnergy. Matt received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and B.A. in Economics and American Studies from Brandeis University.
