Antares Capital Corporation is a private venture capital firm investing equity capital in developmental and expansion-stage companies and in management buy-out opportunities.
Our partners are highly-experienced operating managers and entrepreneurs, willing to be constructive and helpful to the management teams running the companies in our portfolio. Our investments are concentrated in the Southeast and Texas in order to facilitate a healthy interaction between portfolio company managers and Antares' partners. We have a broad background in a variety of industries and business models.
Candidates for investment should have good management teams in place, established sales, and serve large and growing markets. There are no industry restrictions with the exclusion of real estate, distribution, franchisees, and mineral exploration projects.

Mr. Jonathan I. Kislak, General Partner, is an experienced banker, mortgage banker, and investor with an extensive background in business and government. In 1991,
Mr. Kislak founded Kislak Capital Corporation, a successful investor in start-up and early stage companies. From 1989 to 1991, Mr. Kislak was Deputy Under Secretary for Small Community and Rural Development at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where he was responsible for policy development and management oversight for three USDA agencies: Farmers' Home Administration, Rural Electrification Administration, and the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation. Mr. Kislak is currently on the board of directors of Micro Networks/Andersen Laboratories and Let's Talk Cellular (LTCW). Mr. Kislak also serves as Chairman of the Board of Kislak National Bank, a community bank with seven offices in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, Florida, and is Chairman and President of the bank's holding company, Skylake Bankshares, Inc. Mr. Kislak received a B.A. degree in economics from Harvard College.
