i-Hatch Ventures was formed in February of 1999 to provide experienced capital to early-stage technology ventures, primarily in the mobile and broadband sectors. Our approach is to match experienced practitioners with the founding teams of technology ventures, inject capital, and provide hands-on support from the i-Hatch team. Our investment filters focus on early-stage technology ventures in the Northeastern U.S. doing business in key industry categories: mobile data services, communications, enabling technology and broadband.

Brad Farkas General Partner i-Hatch Ventures |
Brad has been involved in the investment, management and development of technology for the past 15 years. During this time he co-founded 2 Venture Capital funds, developed five commercial software products, funded over 25 technology companies and served on more than a dozen boards. Brad is a General Partner at i-Hatch Ventures, where he leads their wireless and broadband technology practices, serving on the boards of ZTango (acquired by WiderThan), Vindigo (acquired by Forside, LTD), ThumbPlay, LimeLife, M*Metrics, Reaxion, and Equator Technologies (acquired by PixelWorks). Prior to co-founding i-Hatch, Brad was a founding Partner of Lazard Technology Partners (LTP), the venture capital group of Lazard Frères & Co. LLC. At Lazard, Brad focused on wireless, internet and data communications technologies. Prior to Lazard, Brad was the Acting CFO and Director of Compatible Systems, a developer of IP routers and virtual private networking ("VPN") equipment. Brad raised three rounds of venture financing for Compatible, and was active in both business development and product strategy. Brad introduced the company to Cisco Systems who acquired it in March 2000.
