Coast Ventures consults to the CEOs of emerging companies in "positioning our clients strategically and tactically so that they may achieve profitable growth and shareholder liquidity". Coast plans to establish an "Emerging Venture" Fund, which they anticipate being fully funded by 2007. Coast currently invests in early-stage emerging growth software technology companies that have a product (or hosted service) developed, and have sold their products (or services) to at least "first" customers. Their market preferences are Information Technology, Telecommunications, Cleantech, IP Based Control, Medical, and Software products or services to the Corporate Market. Their investment size varies, depending on many factors including the valuation of the company and the size of the round, and they typically invest alongside other Angel or Boutique VC investors in a Series A Preferred Round.
