    Venture Fund Profile
SpaceVest manages approximately $300 million across three funds. The firm typically leads expansion-round investments in US-based companies that leverage advanced technologies. Our model of investing entails active participation in the investment, including taking a board seat and syndicating the round as the lead investor.

SpaceVest’s investment philosophy is designed to build long-term, sustainable value within an enterprise. The firm seeks companies with the following characteristics:

Highly-competent management team: SpaceVest seeks management teams that can combine experience with talent, intelligence, integrity, passion and enthusiasm.

Unique proprietary technology: SpaceVest believes that unique technology can create a temporary barrier to entry that provides a critical time advantage for emerging companies.

Compelling value proposition: SpaceVest looks for products and services that fulfill a critical need for customers. We focus on dramatic increases in productivity, substantial and sustained margin improvement, or new features and functionality that vastly improve methods of conducting business.

Large, high-growth market: SpaceVest targets large markets with hyper-growth segments that provide opportunities for small companies to enter quickly.

Initial commercial customer base: A company must be able to identify specific customers who would be willing to purchase their product or service at a projected price. These customers must share the entrepreneur's enthusiasm and passion for the product or service.

Competitive position defined and differentiated: The company must be able to clearly articulate how their product or service is substantially different and better than that which is offered by competitors.
