Allan Ferguson, Managing Director - East Coast, 3i
Allan Ferguson has been part of 3i since 1986 and helped to start the US operation in 1999. While specializing in software investments, he also has extensive knowledge of the healthcare sector, with a primary interest in drug discovery, combinatorial chemistry, bioinformatics and medical devices. Allan heads the Waltham office and currently serves on the Board of deNovis, Digital 5 and TransMedics.Allan is a member of a number of associations including NEVCA and NACD. Tom Johnston is a managing director of AHVP, a director for NetMotion Wireless and Max-Viz. He is another of AHVP's technology experts, who held several senior marketing positions with Microsoft Corporation between 1990 and 1998.
