DC Pitching Workshop (Afternoon)

Thursday, April 21, 2005
12:00pm - 3:15pm
Map

Sponsored by Grant Thornton, Kelley Drye

ONLY 3 tickets left to Pitch ---- Afternoon Pitching Session in Vienna, VA

Every CEO wants a chance to pitch their company to investors - and on Thursday, April 21 you will get your chance!

This unique session will show entrepreneurs exactly what to say when pitching to Venture & Angel investors.

  • Investors will show you how to give a great pitch.
  • Then you get to pitch to the panel of Investors!
  • 6 Investors on the panel, only 30 CEOs in the room!

Every entrepreneur is enthusiastic about their company, but when it comes to giving a pitch to investors, they don't often give the right information: Whether its focusing too heavily on the 'nuts & bolts' of your company (never telling them why a customer needs you), or just leaving out key facts (how much you are raising and why).

This panel of Angel Investors and Venture capitalists will help you fine tune your pitch and tell you exactly what to say to get investors interested in your company - and to put you on a path to a check. It's all about first impressions and you only get one shot to impress an investor.

After the above Investor panel - Every entrepreneur in the room will get 2 minutes to pitch to all of the Investors. The investors will also "grade" / critique each CEO in writing.

Here is a quote from the same event we did in Seattle in March:
“Your FundingPost pitching event was highly valuable. It exceeded not only my expectations but my highest hopes as well. After 30 years of pitching, I thought I knew it all, but based on the pointers provided by your panel of experts, I revised my intended pitch to them on the fly, twice! As a result, three of the panel members invited us to meet with them further. Since the session, we have revised our Executive Summary and underlying Business Plan in line with what we learned there. The substance of our plan hasn't changed, but the way it's pitched has been dramatically sharpened.
    Thank you!”

Tom Billings, Chairman, Assurant Software Inc.

This event is limited to only 30 CEOs. This is the best Investor/Entrepreneur ratio in the market! Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis and will sell out early - so register today! (There will be No walk-ins).

Note: As of 6:30pm EST, 4/18, Registering Company summaries will not be included in the hand-outs / attendance list, as the printing is complete.
