    Ed Spiva, General Partner, Anthem Capital Management Ed Spiva, General Partner, Anthem Capital Management

    Ed Spiva has over 30 years of business experience with an emphasis on finance, strategic planning and early-stage investing. After nearly 10 years, Mr. Spiva left the Baltimore office in 2003 to open Anthemís Morgantown/Pittsburgh office. Before he joined Anthem, Mr. Spiva spent 22 years in banking where he served as CFO, acquired three banks, directed six mergers, and led the development the country's largest electronic banking network. Mr. Spiva also served on the Board of Directors for the Baltimore Development Corporation (BDC) where he managed the City's venture capital fund. Mr. Spiva received his BS in Accounting from Virginia Tech and passed the CPA exam in Virginia.

    Randy Domolky, Managing Director, Liquid Capital Group Randy Domolky, Managing Director, Liquid Capital Group

    Mr. Domolky is a seasoned technology executive with over 15 years of experience in senior management, business development, sales, marketing and financial roles.

    In addition to his role at Liquid Capital, Mr. Domolky is a Principal at NextStep Partners, LLC. NextStep Partners is a business development and financial advisory firm assisting emerging Information Technology & Communications companies.

    Prior to joining NextStep Partners, Mr. Domolky served as the Vice President for Business Development and the Vice President of the Mid Atlantic Division for NEON Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: NOPT).

    Prior to joining NEON, Mr. Domolky was the Senior Director for Business Development and the General Manager of the Carrier Sales Division at Winstar Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: WCII).

    Mr. Domolky has also held a variety of finance, marketing and sales positions with MCI Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCIC) and was a consultant to the energy, pharmaceutical and automobile industries while at Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett.

    Mr. Domolky holds a B.A. in Economics and Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. He has also studied at Harvard University and the University of Connecticut.

    Mr. Domolky lives in Fairfax, Virginia with his wife and their two children.

    Brian J. Giblin, Business Development Manager, focuses on identifying investment opportunities in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC. He serves as a primary point of contact for technology focused service providers and emerging companies.

    Brian has nearly 20 years of experience with early stage and major technology companies within telecom, Internet, VoIP, WiFi and security sectors. Most recently, Brian was with COMSAT Laboratories, a provider of satellite communications equipment, where he developed the competitive, market, and financial analyses that supported going forward with 2 of the 7 products under development, permitting the focusing of resources and the subsequent tripling of revenues within 2 years.

    Brian has worked at two start-up companies, as well as having advised several small and medium-sized companies on their strategic business plan.

    Brian serves as a Director to the MIT Enterprise Forum of Washington-Baltimore Ė a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to the growth, education, and success of the entrepreneur and business community of the greater Washington & Baltimore area.

    Jonathan Silver, Managing Director, Core Capital Partners Jonathan Silver, Managing Director, Core Capital Partners

    Prior to founding Core in 1999, Mr. Silver was the Managing Director of Commonwealth Holdings, Inc., a private investment vehicle with interests in financial and professional services, communications, and the health and fitness industries.

    Mr. Silver has held senior positions in both the public and private sector. During the first Clinton Administration, Mr. Silver served as senior policy advisor to two U.S. Cabinet Secretaries. First as Counselor to the Secretary of the Interior and last as the Assistant Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Mr. Silver also served as a personal advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury in developing a lending facility for Mexico. Seperately, he chaired the Presidentís Non-Profit Liaison Network, a national government-wide mechanism for managing the Clinton Administrationís relationship with the non-profit community.

    Mr. Silverís public sector experience also includes having served as a senior advisor to the United Nations Scientific, Educational and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) delegation to the United Nations and as a delegate to the International Labor Conferences in Geneva. Before serving in government, Mr. Silver was a Managing Director, and the Chief Operating Officer, of Tiger Management, Inc., one of the nationís largest and most successful hedge funds. Mr. Silver was a member of Tigerís Executive Management Committee, the group responsible for managing the firmís overall portfolio. Mr. Silver directed firm investments in the media and communications industries, and, later as COO, was also responsible for the firmís back office, technology and administrative functions.

    Laura Lukaczyk is the Founder and Managing General Partner of Avansis Ventures, LLC. Avansis has invested in Cognio, Covega, Exent, iPhotonics (NYSE: SLR), Trust Digital, and Tucana Technologies Inc. Laura has over fifteen years of entrepreneurial and venture capital experience. She has participated in the startup of successful companies, and in all aspects of their growth and financing Ė both from the investing and operating sides of the business. Laura has a first hand understanding of the motivations and challenges experienced by new companies and their founders. Laura currently serves on the board of Tucana Technologies Inc. and Exent Technologies Ltd.

    Prior to Avansis, Laura was a consultant for New Enterprise Associates ("NEA") in its Reston, Virginia office. At NEA she participated in investing nearly $85 million in companies such as DataCore, Exent, TeleGea and WNP (acquired by Nextlink).

    Prior to NEA, she was the founding CFO at Denwa Communications and previous to this, the Director of Sales at International Communications Corp. ("ICC"), which grew to $100 million in annualized revenues within 14 months. Lauraís prior investment experience includes working as a manager of private equity placements for Multifinance Holding Corp., a family fund with $100 million under management. Her prior technical experience includes semiconductor engineering and manufacturing for the Delco Electronics Division of General Motors.

    Laura is co-chair of the Centennial Celebration for the Chemical Engineering School of the University of Wisconsin. Laura also serves on the Incubator Advisory Board of the Reston Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the NVTC Private Equity Committee. She received her MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School and her BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Laura serves as a member of the Technical Advisory Board at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Engineering School.

    John Kim, Principal, HIG Ventures John Kim, Principal, HIG Ventures

    Mr. Kim specializes primarily in the semiconductor sector. Mr. Kim has over 10 years of entrepreneurial, general management and operational experience in semiconductor component, equipment and software companies. Previously, he was the General Manager at Barry Controls' semiconductor division where he marketed hardware, software and services to Texas Instruments, Nikon, KLA-Tencor, Ultratech Stepper, Hyundai and Fujitsu. Mr. Kim also was the COO of a 100+ person eCommerce business and the Business Development Director at a product development software company. He began his business career at Booz, Allen & Hamilton where he consulted on operations strategy to Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Kim received a B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and an M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School.

    Joseph B. Hoffman is a business lawyer with special focus in telecommunications transactions. Mr. Hoffmanís practice encompasses a wide variety of issues confronting telecom and technology companies. He advises on purchase and sale of assets and companies as well as financing transactions, including venture capital, equipment leasing and institutional, and executive compensation matters. He also represents investment companies, real estate developers, lenders and thoroughbred industry interests with respect to various corporate, financing, real estate and tax matters. Mr. Hoffman heads up the Commercial Group in Kelley Dryeís Tysons Corner, Virginia and Washington offices. He received a J.D., with honors, from George Washington University National Law Center and a B.S., cum laude, from University of Maryland with a major in Accounting and Finance. He is admitted in Virginia and District of Columbia.
