    Conor Mullett, General Partner, Updata Partners Conor Mullett, General Partner, Updata Partners

    Conor Mullett is a co-founder and General Partner of Updata Partners. Since joining the Updata team in 1999, Conor has been actively involved in building the Updata Partners organization and partnering with entrepreneurially driven, high-growth IT companies. Conor is currently involved as a director and advisor with Updata portfolio companies Getpaid, eSecurity, Netkey and Acclaris. Prior to joining Updata, Conor was a Senior Vice President with William E. Simon & Sons, a leading NJ & CA based private equity firm where he focused on developing the IT investment strategy. At Simon and earlier at GE Capital, Conor participated in over 30 initial venture capital and private equity investments and follow-on acquisitions and divestitures.

    Conor currently serves on the New Jersey Technology Councilís Venture Advisory Board and is a founding board member of the Jersey Angel Network. Conor received his MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from the College of William and Mary.

    New York Angels' mission is to provide opportunities for its members to obtain outstanding financial returns by investing in early-stage technology and new media companies in the New York City area. We provide seed and early-stage capital in the range of $200K-$1M, an investment range not generally served by venture capital funds. Since 1994, we and our predecessor group have invested over $14 million in 50 ventures.

    Chip Meakem is a Principal of Draper Fisher Jurvetson Gotham, joining us as an investment professional in May 2000. Chip is DFJ Gotham's representative on the boards of Quantiva (Network Management), NanoOpto (Nanotechnology), Pantero (Middleware), Massive Incorporated , (New Media), ContextWeb , (E-commerce), Practical Engineering , (Semiconductor Test Equipment) and manages DFJ Gotham's investment in Ingenio (E-commerce). Chip was also a director at Q-Link Technologies, acquired by Adobe Systems. Prior to joining the DFJ Gotham team Chip was Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at N2K Inc., responsible for evaluating, negotiating and implementing strategic partnerships for the #2 online music retailer. Before N2K, Chip was Vice President, at Interactive Imaginations, the predecessor to 24/7 Media, Inc. At Interactive Imaginations, Chip built and managed the Commonwealth Network, one of the Internet's first advertising networks. Chip received a B.A, in Liberal Arts from Cornell University and a M.B.A. from Columbia University.

    David Stoffel, Associate, Radius Ventures David Stoffel, Associate, Radius Ventures

    David S. Stoffel, M.D. is an Associate of Radius Ventures, LLC. Previously, David was an Associate at Credit Suisse First Boston's Healthcare Investment Banking group, working with clients ranging from biotechnology startups to large cap pharmaceutical and healthcare services companies. His experience covered merger and acquisition advisory work as well as arranging for prospective debt and equity financing. With an M.D. from the University of Chicago, David is also a published researcher in areas ranging from diabetes management to the treatment and mechanisms of prostate cancer. David earned a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

    Shayne Veramallay, Associate, NJTC Venture Fund Shayne Veramallay, Associate, NJTC Venture Fund

    Shayne joins NJTC Venture Fund from Salomon Smith Barney's Private Equity Group where he focused on the healthcare, biotech, and communications industries for middle to later stage private companies specializing in PIPE financings. Shayne focuses on advanced materials (including nanotechnology), energy, and biotech. Shayne attended Indiana University for his undergraduate degrees in Finance and International Business.

    Charles Crockett is a founding Partner of Ascend. Prior to the formation of Ascend Venture Group, Charles was a Director of The Beacon Group, a New York-based private investment and advisory firm with more than $2.0 billion in private equity capital under management. Charles was the first Associate hired by The Beacon Group and spent six years evaluating, structuring and monitoring investments in a variety of industries. Prior to the formation of The Beacon Group, Charles worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Structured Finance Group. Charles currently serves as a director of Netilla Networks, Inc.; Versura, Inc. and is an official board observer for Snap Appliance, Inc. Charles is presently a member of the Stanford Law School Board of Visitors and the State Bar of California, and is a Director of the New York Software Industry Association (NYSIA) and the LEAD Program in Business . He is a graduate of Stanford Law School (J.D.) and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (B.S.).
