Dave Sorin is an office managing partner and the head of the Venture Capital and Emerging Growth Companies practice at McCarter & English. He focuses his practice primarily on privately- and publicly-owned startup, early stage, emerging growth, and middle market technology, tech-enabled and life science enterprises, as well as the investors, executives, and boards of directors who support and lead them. Jack is a Senior Associate at Touchdown Ventures, joining the team in 2017 and focusing on investments in the Internet of Things (IoT) and physical security sectors. Before Touchdown, Jack gained operating experience at Personal Capital, a venture-backed startup in Silicon Valley, and was co-founder and President of the Philadelphia InSITE Fellowship chapter while attending business school. Prior to that, he spent time in the New York venture ecosystem evaluating investment opportunities at Laconia Capital Group, New York Angels, and Virgil Capital. Jack previously worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland where he specialized in short-term interest rate products. Jack holds a BA in History from Duke University and MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with honors as an Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing & Operations major.

Alex Katz is a Founder and Managing Partner at WIN Venture Partners. He is a seasoned venture capital investor, and also serves as a General Partner of ff Venture Capital, a leading New York venture capital firm. He has been working with seed-, early-stage and growth companies for over 30 years. Alex has experience serving as a board member and/or adviser to many companies, which currently include DocAuthority, Ltd.,, Inc., Ionic Security, Inc., Muse by InteraXon and others.
Prior to venture capital, Alex practiced law with Mesirov Gelman and was a founding partner of Katz and Miele, LLP, a tax and corporate law specialty firm. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Fastener Distribution and Marketing Company, Inc., a $21m industrial supply company, and was responsible for driving its strategy of obtaining market share through internal growth and five external acquisitions. In addition, Alex was Chief Financial Officer of Lenape Dynamic, Inc., a $15m metal forging company, for which he raised capital to execute a roll-up strategy and was responsible for dramatically increasing that companyís operating margins. He has also worked as a Certified Public Accountant.
Alex earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Drexel University and a Juris Doctor degree from Temple University School of Law.

Harvey has been a Founder, Director, CEO, and angel investor in biotech, medical device, software, and digital health technology companies. Since joining Jumpstart Angel Network in 2017, he has led due diligence and invested in several very promising software, IOT and e-Health ventures.
His unique background includes leadership roles in product development, medical and regulatory affairs and with teams in the US, UK, France and Germany for global consumer and prescription pharmaceutical corporations.
He has led integration of development and clinical portfolios for two major acquisitions, and headed partnerships in Europe, U.S., India and Japan. Harvey has played pivotal roles in the development and commercialization of dozens of skin care, analgesic, GI and Upper Respiratory products for leading global brands such as Bayer, Neurofen, Midol, Phillips, Strepsils, Boots E45, and Diaparene. His most challenging corporate role was as Senior VP for Innovation and Corporate Development. He has led start-ups from founding through acquisition via a reverse merger; has been PI on several SBIR grants and refereed publications; and has had hands on experience transitioning technology from academic labs through to commercialization.
Currently, he is a member of the Advisory Boards for the Therapeutics Accelerator and the Biomedical Device Accelerator at Columbia Medical Center in NYC and serves on development teams for two potential breakthrough discoveries. He has been a mentor and entrepreneur in residence for Blackstone Launchpad @ NYU, the Enterprise Development Center @ NJIT, as well as Industry Mentor and adjunct faculty for the NSF I-Corps New York City Regional Innovation Node. Harvey has a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Georgia and an MBA from NYU Stern.
