    Jeff has been investing in early stage technology companies since 1984. He cofounded Tritech Partners, L.P., an early stage fund managed by Triad Investors Corporation, Baltimore, MD, in 1994. Previously, he was a member of the senior investment team at Massachusetts Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) Boston, MA. Jeff earned a Masters degree in architecture and planning from MIT, and a Bachelor's degree from Hampshire College.

    Wayne Kimmel, Managing Director, Eastern Technology Fund Wayne Kimmel, Managing Director, Eastern Technology Fund

    Wayne D. Kimmel is the Managing Director of the Eastern Technology Fund, a venture fund that provides early stage capital to technology companies. Kimmel is also on the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee of NewSpring Ventures, L.P., a $90 million SBIC venture fund. In addition, Kimmel is the Chairman of the Board of the Philadelphia Capital Opportunity Fund (PCOF).

    The Philadelphia Business Journal recognized Kimmel as one of the Philadelphia region’s emerging leaders. In addition, Kimmel was selected as one of the Philadelphia region’s “40 Under 40” young business leaders, and PhillyTech Magazine selected him as one of the “30 people under 30” to watch in the high-tech industry in the year 2000.Kimmel serves on several Boards of the Eastern Technology Fund's portfolio companies, and he frequently lectures on technology, management, and venture capital at various universities, corporations and seminars.

    Kimmel was the 2003 Co-Chairman of Early Stage East, the Mid-Atlantic region's premier Early Stage venture showcase. Kimmel is also an executive with the Eastern Technology Council, a 1,200 plus corporate member trade organization comprised of technology companies. He is also an active member of the Greater Philadelphia Venture Group and its Education Outreach Committee, and serves on several committees for the Mid-Atlantic Venture Conference.

    In 2003, Kimmel received the "Distinguished Alumni Award" from The Tatnall School in Wilmington, DE. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland at College Park, and received his law degree from the Widener University School of Law. He lives in West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania with his wife and two children.

    Prior to forming Inverness, Ken served as Senior Group Vice President for Global Business Development for Graham Packaging Company and as a member of GPC's Group Management Committee where he played a key role in acquisitions, divestitures, and financings totaling over $2 billion. Ken has served as Manager for Mackenzie, Hovey and Associates, a turnaround management consulting group; Director of Business Development for Superconducting Core Technologies, an early stage wireless communications company; and as a board member of several private investment firms. Ken earned his BA from Dartmouth College and his MBA from Dartmouth's Amos Tuck School of Business. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Burke Mountain Academy.

    Tracy S. Warren, Senior Associate, Battelle Ventures Tracy S. Warren, Senior Associate, Battelle Ventures

    Tracy entered the venture capital industry in early 2000, working for Early Stage Enterprises, L.P. (ESE) during business school and joining full-time in June 2001. Prior to ESE, Tracy worked for GE Equity in the Health Care and Financial Services group. In addition, she did start-up consulting for several health care ventures, including a proteomics company, a clinical trial consulting business, and a generic pharmaceutical company.

    Before entering Columbia Business School, Tracy spent three years with SG Cowen Securities in its Health Care Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance divisions. She focused primarily on companies in the medical device and health care information technology fields. Prior to SG Cowen, Tracy spent a year with Chase Manhattan Bank in its Global Financial Analyst program.

    Tracy received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from New York University and her MBA from Columbia University.
