    Mark Walsh recently stepped down as head of Investment and Innovation for the Small Business Administration for the Obama Administration. He oversaw all SBIC, SBIR, Accelerator/Incubator and other growth activities at the SBA, and was appointed to key committees at the Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of the Treasury for the Obama Administration.

    That was his first government position. Prior, he had a 30+ year career in technology, media, venture capital, and angel investing. He was ceo of a high growth public company, (VerticalNet NASDAQ: VERT) was a senior executive at GE, AOL, and HBO, and has invested in and/or served on the board of a number of high profile public and private companies, including BlackBoard (NASDAQ: BBBB), NutriSystems (NASDAQ: NTRI), half.com (Bought by eBay), IndustryBrains (bought by Marchex-NASDAQ: MCHX), Day Software (bought by Adobe) and many, many others. He got into the collision of technology and politics early, serving as the first chief technology advisor to the Democratic Party in 2002, running the internet efforts for the John Kerry presidential campaign in 2004 and was the founding CEO of Air America Radio. He has been ceo and chairman of many startups, including Homesnap and GeniusRocket, and was lead independent director for Thestreet.com, the media company founded by Jim Cramer. He also served as a venture partner for Revolution, Inc. in Washington, D.C., the investment fund started by his AOL colleagues Steve Case and Ted Leonsis.

    He was the chairman of the board of his college alma mater, Union College in New York, chairman of the Entrepreneurial Center at the University of Maryland, and received his MBA from Harvard. He has served on a number of very prominent not-for profit boards, including the Bipartisan Policy Center (where he was chair), the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New York Theatre Workshop and many others.

    Roy Morris is an expert in technology, finance, and legal. He has invested in a number of early stage startups, either individually or as part of a group. He has held board seats on a number of startups and non-profits. He is the former chair of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Washington DC. He is currently a member of MIT Alumni Angels of Washington DC. He has an MBA from Wharton, Masters of EE from MIT, and JD from GWU. His current interest is focused on Artificial Intelligence.

    Nick Adams is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Differential Ventures. Previously, Nick was a Venture Partner at Supernode.vc, f.k.a. Flatiron Investors, in New York City where he evaluated hundreds of seed- stage SaaS companies and led the due diligence for multiple investments. Before moving into an investment position, Nick held senior sales, marketing and product management roles for software companies that have realized over $1.3 billion in exit value, including: Opower (IPO), RAGE Frameworks (acquired by Genpact), Basware (Publicly-traded on OMX), and Comverge (acquired by Itron). He actively mentors startups out of Cornell Tech, NYU, and Northeastern University. Nick has a MSc in Global Finance from NYU and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, a MBA in Corporate Finance from Northeastern University and a BA in History from Brandeis University where he played four years of varsity baseball.

    Andrew McDermott is currently a Healthcare Management student, entrepreneur, and serves as Chief Executive Officer of Honor Homes, Inc., a student-veteran housing corporation. He has been angel investing for nearly 10 years since he first learned of the important role while studying at the Institute for Entrepreneurship at Shenandoah University. Since serving as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy, his focus has mainly been on making investments in and advising start-ups that creatively improve individual and population health. Andrew also serves on the Board for Public Service and Scholarship at Shenandoah University and is a member of the Society for Judgment and Decision Making
