    Kal is Co-Founder at HubSV, which is exporting the best of Silicon Valley to countries all over the world in partnership with governments, non-profits and corporations. Its international acceleration program features remote mentorship, local boot-camps, classes and a Silicon Valley on-shoring program. Kal served until December 2016 as the CEO and a Founding Investor-Advisor at Batchery, a Berkeley-based startup accelerator, with fifty companies graduated last year. He is also on the screening and pitch event committees for Berkeley Angel Network, an angel investment group for UC Berkeley alumni. With a background in finance, strategy and product management, Kal has held a number of executive positions at companies ranging from Fortune 100 companies to early stage startup companies, including Visa, Wells Fargo, and Price Waterhouse. Startups include Homegain (acquired by Gannett Company’s Classified Ventures), EscapeHomes (acquired by HomeAway), and TotalMove (acquired by MostHome). Kal holds an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in Management Science from UC San Diego.

    Manan is a founding partner of Unshackled Ventures, an early stage venture capital fund for immigrant founded startups in the U.S. The fund has led marquee investments in driverless trucking, AI for water management, edge computing and emotional intelligence. Prior to Unshackled Ventures, Manan ran marketing for ed-tech startup Kno that raised over $90M of funding from top VC’s including Andreessen Horowitz, First Round Capital and Floodgate. The company was acquired by Intel in 2013. Before Kno, Manan was an investment banker at the Royal Bank of Canada, with his most notable deal being the $1.9B acquisition of Skype led by Silver Lake and Andreessen Horowitz in 2009 — later sold to Microsoft for $8.5B.

    Most recently, Manan was invited by the White House and the U.S. State Department to speak at President Obama’s annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit held at Stanford University. He’s an active mentor to startups at Stanford University and has been an op-ed contributor in the Huffington Post, ReCode, with the firm being featured in the WSJ, Forbes, Bloomberg, Financial Times, CNN and many other national press outlets.

    As a first generation American, Manan knows his life is inextricably linked to immigrants. He is a firm believer that immigrants are the heartbeat of American entrepreneurship and is excited about unleashing entrepreneurs to innovate and create opportunities for themselves and society.

    Mike is a GP of CoVenture, a VC that provides equity capital, debt capital, and software development services to early stage domain experts focused on business process innovations. Prior to CoVenture, Mike was a founder of Diamond Technology Partners, a management consulting firm helping clients with business, operations, and technology strategies and initiatives, which he helped lead from inception through IPO.     Itamar Novick is the Chief Business Officer at Life360, the largest mobile Family Network, with over 80 million registered families globally. The Life360 app keeps families safe when they're out and about, in their car, or at home - through its IoT location-based technology and partnerships with Nest, ADT, BMW and MINI.

    Itamar is also a prolific Angel Investor working with over 40 mobile, IoT and SaaS companies. Previously Itamar was a venture capitalist at Morgenthaler Ventures and a partner at UpWest Labs, the Israeli accelerator in Silicon Valley. Before moving to the "dark side" of VC, Itamar was head of product at Gigya, the leading social tools provider for web and mobile publishers, and spent several years in product and engineering management roles at a variety of companies big and small.

    Itamar holds an MBA from Berkeley-Haas and a Computer Science undergraduate degree from the Tel-Aviv Jaffa College.
