    Sally connects ideas to capital. As co-founder and CEO of crowdfunding platform, Sally helped thousands of entrepreneurs reach their fundraising goals. Now as a crowdfinance consultant she is addicted to helping business owners and investors navigate the new capital opportunities provided by the updated securities regulations in the JOBS Act. In her efforts to democratize finance and to level the playing field for retail investors, she has recently launched a mobile app ( that connects users to the strong returns generated through the crowdfinance industry.

    Sally is a seasoned entrepreneur having run her own businesses for the last twenty five years. Her media and business ventures took her across the globe – including ten years of conducting business in Russia. Sally is a writer and speaker for Entrepreneur Magazine, various universities, and business incubators on the topic of small business financing and has been a repeated source on the topic of crowdfinance for national media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones, and Forbes, among others. Her book, “Cash from the Crowd” on how to successfully crowdfund, was published fall 2013 by Entrepreneur Press. Sally holds both a real estate broker license as well as a Series 65 registered investment adviser license.

    Mark is co-founded Las Olas Venture Capital, an early stage venture fund focused on Florida and other underserved venture capital markets. Prior to starting Las Olas VC, Mark spent about 15 years at Higher One, a company he co-founded in 2000 while a senior in college. In his roles as CFO, Chairman and then CEO, Mark has had a major hand in steering the company from its first round of seed funding and multiple rounds of venture funding all the way to its successful IPO in 2010. He helped grow Higher One from just three founders to more than 1,000 employees and guide the company through multiple acquisitions exceeding $150mm in aggregate value. Today, Higher One’s products and services support more than 1,900 schools and approximately 13 million enrolled students. Mark holds a BA and MA in Economics from Yale University. He was a founding officer of the Yale Entrepreneurial Society and on its board from 2000 to 2010. This nonprofit organization promotes entrepreneurship among Yale students, faculty and alumni, and sponsors an annual business plan competition. Mark’s other civic roles includes serving on the Fort Lauderdale Aviation Advisory Board. His past civic activities include Chairman of the Tweed New Haven Airport Authority, and positions on the New Haven Economic Development Commission and the Regional Growth Partnership Strategic Planning Committee. Mark is the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2010 New England Financial Services Award recipient and was an EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2011 National Services Award finalist. He has been a regional and national judge for the program since 2012.

He is a mentor at Google Developers Launchpad and participate in advisory boards in California. He is a member of the Tech Coast Angels and the Pasadena Angels, 2 of 10 largest Angel Investment Groups in the US. He has invested in Fintech, SaaS, On Demand Services, Consumer Products, Autonomous Vehicles, E-Commerce, Fitness, Wearable, HR, AI and VR/AR companies. He holds BAs in Management and in Economics from Wittenberg University, with MBAs in France and Brazil. He also has a degree in Venture Capital from UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
