    Runs a Single Family Office out of Los Angeles, CA which invests in three primary business lines: Real Estate Investment primarily US based in California, New York, and Nevada, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing in Asia, and Venture / Angel Investing in both the US and abroad. Over the last 10 years he has been involved in over 15 successful startups in his career, bringing new technology and innovation from start to exit. He is currently involved in several companies in a managerial or executive advisory position. They range from a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing firm, a smart luggage development firm, and an Architectural Design Firm based out of Shanghai, China. He received his BS in Managerial Economics and Biology from UCLA and got his Masters in Business Administration from Boston University and his Masters in Urban Planning from Harvard's Graduate School of Design. He is an avid collector of pens and lighters and has a growing knowledge base of whiskey,wine, and contemporary art. He is an Eagle Scout with Three Silver Palms and a Vigil of the Order of the Arrow. He enjoys playing basketball and spending time with his wife Lani and is currently developing a charity called Wash it Forward.

    When I worked, I specialized in practicing venture capital, securities, mergers & acquisitions and general corporate law. My clients ranged from start-ups, such as Scour.net (a company that was founded by, among others, Travis Kalanick-who went on to be the founder and CEO of Uber) and Ceiva, to Fortune 100 companies, such as IBM. I also worked on the initial public offering for Shopping.com that was subsequently acquired by Compaq Computer Corp. within one year of it's IPO (one of the first internet IPO's) for approximately $1 Billion.

    Previously, Shane built customer service and finance teams at GreeneStreet Filmsas the company raised several rounds of venture capital and grew revenue to over $10 million. Hismotion pictures credits include Movie 43 and Awake.
    Shane holds an MBA with distinction from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business where he was a Consortium for Graduate Study in Management Fellow. He earned a Bachelor of Science cum laude from Morehouse College where he studied Math and Physics.

    Alex Parsons is the Managing Director and Head of Product Management for Castle's Los Angeles office. He has over fifteen years experience in design, engineering and product management in digital and built environments. At Castle he has led the launch of twelve new digital products with start up and enterprise clients like Fox Sports, The Wall Street Journal, A2 Access and Travel Tripper, to name a few. Previously, he worked as a designer at Gwathmey Siegel & Associates Architects where he was a project manager on the $190M renovation of the Yale School of Architecture. Current areas of interest include: maintaining design excellence in an agile development and lean business environment, usability testing and user behavior / web analytics. He studied history and computer science at Stanford University and architecture at Harvard.

    Tamra Johnson is a Partner and Cofounder of 79 Studios, building a platform for seed stage investing, advising, and partnership for inspirational female entrepreneurs. She’s passionate about increasing opportunities for experienced professional women to remain engaged while having families, as well as increasing the number of women putting capital to work in support of other female entrepreneurs. Tamra was previously the CEO and Founder of Dryad Communications, a broadband provider for rural and underserved areas, including Native American Reservations, in Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota. Before that, she spent 10 years in project management and systems engineering at Northrop Grumman, creating and delivering space systems. Tamra has a MBA from UCLA Anderson, a MS in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford, and a BS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT. She’s served in many roles with the MIT Alumni Association, and is currently on the Alumni Association Selection Committee. She grew up outside of San Antonio, TX, and now lives in Venice, CA with her husband and son.
