    Christopher Gimbert is a financial services entrepreneur and the Chief Operating Officer of Star Mountain Capital, a specialized asset management firm focused exclusively on small and medium-sized businesses. Star Mountain and its partner fund managers represent one of the largest small and medium-sized business investment platforms providing capital to over 130 companies. Mr. Gimbert has served as the COO since the firm’s inception in 2010. Star Mountain invests (i) as a direct investor, often co-investing with its partner fund managers (via senior stretch loans, mezzanine and/or equity investments), (ii) as a strategic fund-of-funds investor into other private equity and private credit fund managers, and (iii) as a secondary fund investor helping provide liquidity to other limited and general partners. Prior to helping launch Star Mountain, Mr. Gimbert ran an interim CFO advisory business serving small businesses. He started his career at Merrill Lynch in the Alternative Investments group focused on private equity fund due diligence. He then joined KPMG to help build their M&A Advisory practice focused on private equity and strategic transactions. Post getting his MBA at NYU, he was a VP at Governing Dynamics Ventures (growth equity & advisory to small businesses). He also worked at Contour Venture Partners, including investment in small business lending platform On Deck (NASDAQ: ONDK). Mr. Gimbert holds an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business, where he was an InSITE Fellow and Founder/Chairman of the NYU Venture Community. He also holds a BS in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, where he won the annual business plan competition for a small business he subsequently launched.

    Stephen has deep experience across mobile, analytics, and other emerging technologies. He has advised over 50 of the Fortune 500 and influenced the CXO cabinet of many more across the Global 2000. In addition to corporate/enterprise experience, he is an entrepreneur who built and executed on multiple start-ups. Stephen is currently spending time on innovation architecture and business development at NetApp, focused on building a start-up ecosystem, partnering with start-ups on building joint technology, enabling joint GTM, and a SME for strategic investment and M&A. He was previously VP Business Development & Marketing at ionGrid (acquired by NetApp) - delivering an outsized return to investors. He has consulted for the White House, HP, Visa, and Blackrock, just as a small sample. Stephen grew his career early on into senior management at Deloitte focused on analytics, technology, strategy, and operations. Stephen is an Angel Investor with Berkeley Angels Network and is active in his investments in the start-up space including advisory positions in mobile, security, robotics, social, payments/Bitcoin, IoT (Internet-of-Things), and tech/strategy consulting. He holds an MBA / graduate degrees from both Columbia Business School and University of California Berkeley. Stephen enjoys snowboarding/skiing, playing chess, and listening to music with his family – wife, twin daughters, and son. Stephen lives in San Francisco.

    Dave is founder and Managing Partner of Pebble Creek Partners LLC, a strategic consulting firm to growing companies, and the organizations that invest in them.

    In the 9 years since Pebble Creek Partners was founded, Dave has provided management consulting and financial advisory services to scores of companies in the environmental, clean energy, and business-to-business services industries. He has also served in numerous interim management positions including COO of The Novo Group, a nationwide recruiting solutions firm; and Assistant Treasurer for Waste Management, Inc., North America leading supplier of integrated waste solutions. Dave is currently on the Board of Advisors at Mahoney Environmental, one of the nations largest recycler of used fryer oil, grease trap material and other waste products. He is also a member of the Board of Advisors for RexCon LLC, a leading manufacturer of concrete batch plants.

    Dave is an active member of Cornerstone Angels, a private investment organization seeking to provide financial capital and mentorship to early-stage companies in the greater Midwest. In addition, Dave works with both The Clean Energy Trust and the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center (CEC /1871) to mentor start-up companies.

    Dave was Senior Vice President and CFO of ATC Transportation, the recognized leader in providing outsourced transportation operations and management for over 60 municipal transit systems around the nation. Under Dave leadership, ATC implemented processes, systems and controls to make the transition from a privately owned organization to a division of a public company. Dave was instrumental in assisting National Express PLC, in the sale of the business to Veolia Transportation in 2005.

    Brad Greenwald is the Managing Partner of Hilltop Venture Partners. Over the past 25 years, Brad has successfully launched and operated innovative start-up and corporate businesses. Hilltop invests primarily in seed stage Internet-based service businesses. Brad began his career at management consulting firm Bain & Co. Brad went on to management roles (sales/marketing and operations) in several successful businesses including Time Warner Cable, Loyalty Management Group, DLF Capital, and WildBlue Communications. He has helped raise over $200 million to fund start-ups including First To File, Springridge Development Corp, Flextrip and WildBlue. In 2010, Brad founded and currently serves as Chairman of the marketing services firm Education Funding Partners (Regional Winner of the Harvard Business School New Venture Contest). Brad is an Adjunct Professor of Executive MBA Strategy and Entrepreneurial programs at the University of Denver’s Daniels School of Business. Brad founded the Denver Angel Club in 2009, is a member of the Downtown Denver Partnership, and has served on the Board of Directors for several non-profits including Oxfam America, Food Bank of the Rockies, the Jewish Community Foundation and Operation Frontline. Brad was named a 2000 Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute, and received the 2006 SOS National Community Leader Award. Brad received a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He resides in Denver, CO with his wife and children.

Prior to joining Altpoint Ventures, Vadim spent 10 years working in Venture Capital / Private Equity, Telecom, Technology Transfer in Europe and Russia. Vadim has a master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the Lomonosov Moscow State University and an MBA from La Salle University in Barcelona, Spain.

Sara also teaches the Innovation in Teams course at UNLV, part of the Global Entrepreneurship program. She enjoys volunteering her time judging startup weekends and local hackathons, hiking at Red Rock Canyon, trying out new restaurants and working with the Las Vegas Global Shapers and TEDx.
