    Roman Kikta is the Managing Partner and Founder of Mobility Ventures. Roman is a wireless industry innovator, venture capitalist and author with over 25 year experience creating, building, inspiring and accelerating every organization he touches. Roman has had an exemplary career in the launch and growth of new companies, corporate divisions and business units. He is well known as an effective "change-agent" who combines his entrepreneurial spirit with extensive product and market development experience commercializing leading edge technologies, products and services.
    Roman has held senior executive positions in corporate development, strategy, marketing, and product development playing instrumental roles in building multi-billion dollar business units and divisions from startups to global corporations including including Nokia, Panasonic, GoldStar (now LG), and OKI. Roman was a founder of Global Wireless Holdings (GWH), E-Life, Inc. (a proposed spinout from Nokia), SpeedLink Communications (DSL broadband provider in the UK), ChangeAgent Media and as a Co-Founder and Managing General Partner of Genesis Campus, an early stage venture capital fund and incubator.
    Roman is an authority on market trends and the role of technologies on society from an anthropological, sociological and psychological perspective. He has led the development and commercialization, launch of several wireless industry firsts: cellular payphones, voice recognition dialers, cellular in-building/PBX systems, several generations of mobile transportable and portable phone designs and involved in the initial launch of cellular (analog) and PCS (digital) in the U.S.

    Under Kirk’s leadership and direction, SURGE has recruited over 150 industry leaders, scientists, investors, policymakers, customers, and entrepreneurs. SURGE Alumni have raised more than $25 million in funding, generated similar amounts in customer revenue, and created over 150 jobs.
    Coburn is an active angel investor through his membership in the Houston Angel Network and serves on the board and investment committees for the Texas Halo Fund, which is the first sidecar fund of The Houston Angel Network.
    Prior to leading SURGE, Coburn created and was CEO of Chief Outsiders (acq. 2010), a Houston-based company with offices in Texas, Florida, Georgia, and New York. Prior to Chief Outsiders, Coburn launched The PGA TOUR Network on Sirius XM (acq. by SIRI) and founded Pure Golf, a leading provider of golf, tennis, and outdoor programming to the satellite radio industry.
    Coburn received his MBA and BBA in finance and accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
    Outside of work, Coburn serves as an ambassador to the Texas Children's Hospital and is a supporter of the Rice Alliance. Coburn is an ultra-endurance runner (whom has completed the Leadville Trail 100), open-water swimmer, active standup paddle boarder in both Galveston and Nantucket, competitive golfer, and seventh-generation Texan. He spends his free time indulging in these activities with his wife and children.

    Sammy is a co-founder of The DAN, former entrepreneur, and active angel investor. He runs the day to day operations of The DAN full-time including screening opportunities, working with entrepreneurs, and structuring and diligencing deals.

    Prior to The DAN, Sammy was a Vice President with a credit opportunities fund known as Congruent Investment Partners. Before joining Congruent, Sammy was with Prudential Capital Group in Dallas.

    Sammy's career has always centered around structuring and diligencing deals. While at Congruent, he was promoted to Vice President from Associate and grew with the firm as it eclipsed $400mm in assets under management. While at Prudential Capital Group, Sammy was a Senior Analyst, working as part of an 11 person group responsible for underwriting and managing Prudential Capital's $2B+ electric power portfolio.

    Kurt Defenbaugh's professional experience began as a USAF commissioned officer where he developed a strong passion for leading people.
