    Prior to Edison, Doug was a Principal at Apax Partners, Inc. and at TL Ventures, LP where he invested primarily in early and expansion-stage businesses that were pursuing various software and systems technologies.

    Before entering venture capital, Doug managed several telecommunications hardware and software products and led the development of a new business unit at Dialogic Corporation (Intel). In addition, he worked as a consultant for a small venture services firm and he founded a successful health care services company.

    Earlier in his career, Doug led numerous process redesign and quality improvement initiatives for units of United Technologies Corporation and AlliedSignal. Doug’s perspective as an entrepreneur and from his broad operational and management background across such functional areas as product marketing, corporate finance, engineering design, manufacturing, purchasing and program management have been valued by the management of the portfolio companies with which he has been involved.

    Doug received a B.S. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University and he holds both a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A in Finance and Strategic Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
