Mr. Gilbert has thirteen years of classic consumer packaged goods marketing experience across a range of product categories. Over the course of his career, Mr. Gilbert has won two sales awards and one national advertising award. He has a track record for building consumer brands that deliver top and bottom line growth. Most recently, he was Vice President of Marketing on Banana Boat Suncare at Playtex Products, Inc., located in Westport, Connecticut. His experience ranges from health and beauty aids, frozen food, medical devices, suncare, baby care and household cleaning. Prior to Playtex, Mr. Gilbert held marketing positions at Pepperidge Farm and Wyeth. He received his MBA in marketing from the Stern School of Business at NYU and an undergraduate degree in history from Middlebury College in Vermont.

    John is a Partner and a founder of FA Technology Ventures. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Auterra, Autotask, Knoa Software and StreetEasy, is a Board observer of CORESense and BinOptics, and previously served as a Board observer on MetaCarta.

    Prior to FA Technology Ventures, John was with Gleacher Enterprise Funding, a public sponsored investment program, where he was responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing private equity investments whose mission was economic growth. John joined GEF from the equity research group at Gleacher where he was an analyst covering the manufacturing and enterprise software space. John came to a direct “hands on” appreciation of the manufacturing and enterprise software market from the manufacturing floor. This experience first came with Ford Motor Company where he was in operations and engineering and then later with Amphenol’s Computer and Network Products Division where his responsibilities were in new product development, design for manufacturing and assessment and acquisition of new production line equipment and processes.

    John is very active in Upstate New York entrepreneurial organizations including being a founder and Director of the Upstate Venture Association of New York (UVANY). John serves as a Judge of the Rochester Institute of Technology, Syracuse University and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute business plan competitions. He serves on the Board of Advisors to the Union College incubator program and is a mentor at the RPI incubator program. John has been an Adjunct Professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Lally School of Management and Technology (Graduate Program) and currently holds that position at the University at Albany .

    John is an active alumnus at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), recently completing a full term (seven years) as a Vice President of the Alumni Association Board of Trustees. John helped found the Eric Evans Memorial Charitable Foundation after Eric’s death in the World Trade Center on 9/11, and now serves the Foundation as a Director and Treasurer.

    John earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering and his MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

    In 2008, Scott founded the investment firm Westland Ventures, which provides capital and strategic advice for emerging growth companies. Scott has invested in a broad assortment of young companies, including New Media Strategies (acquired by Meredith Corp.), Cinchcast, Mobeam, Navitas Solutions, Narragansett Brewing, Zhena’s Gypsy Tea (where he serves as Chairman), and The Bank of Princeton (where he has served as Chairman of the Advisory Board). He is also the founder of Genius Country, an online magazine that profiles and celebrates innovators and innovation in the Princeton area.

    Previous to founding Westland Ventures, Scott was a senior executive in the financial services industry. From 1985 to 1998, he worked for Morgan Stanley. He became a Managing Director at age 32 and ran the firm’s Equity Capital Markets Division. In this position, Scott was structuring and managing equity capital-raising transactions for U.S. corporations.

    In 1998, Scott left Morgan Stanley to build, in succession, two successful investment firms: Midtown Research Group and Copper Arch Capital. After a decade of managing capital for endowments and foundations, he closed his billion dollar fund in November 2007, a few months before the global stock markets collapsed.

    Christian was one of the first employees at YouCast, a social media startup which was acquired by Halogen Media. Following YouCast, Christian consulted on digital strategy and technology for Fortune 500 brands including Viacom, Time Inc., A&E and Versace. Previously, Christian was on the founding team of mobile concert network Crowdstream, managed major label recording artists and worked for Softbank Capital in early-stage investing. Christian has an MBA in Finance from The NYU Stern School of Business.

Prior to joining The Brandery, Mike worked in brand management at Procter & Gamble, architecting Olay North America’s digital strategy and ecosystem which was awarded P&G’s internal designation of “Best Digital” at the NA Brand Building Awards. Before P&G, he led product launches as a product manager at Match.com and AOL. He has a passion for building brands with high quality user experiences and creative monetization and acquisition strategies. He’s currently working with two startups – SonicNotify and Wearcast. Mike graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA and MBA and is active in the Irish Angels network.

    Alan McGlade is a founder and Managing Director of DEV. He is a current advisor and investor in several media companies and a member of the ARC Angel Fund. Mr. McGlade has over two decades of experience in taking companies from early conceptual stage to significant market player in television, and digital media with an emphasis on music.

    For the last nine years Mr. McGlade was the Chief Executive and a member of the Board of Directors of MediaNet. The company powered music and media delivery in five territories in the US and Europe for many of the best known names in the business including AOL, Yahoo, HMV, Virgin, Samsung, Tesco, MTV, Microsoft's Zune and Google.

    Prior to running MediaNet, Mr. McGlade worked at MTV Networks. He joined the company after selling them the contactive music video channel, Video Jukebox Network (The Box), where he served as CEO for five years.

    Prior to his tenure at The Box, Mr. McGlade was the president of StarNet, which provided targeted cable marketing using a national satellite delivery system. Before that McGlade was the founder and president of Adlink, the largest cable advertising interconnect in the country.

    Mr. McGlade's commentaries have appeared in Billboard, Forbes and Multichannel News, among others, and he has appeared on CNBC, CNN Business and PBS.

    Greg Slamowitz is a Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Ambrose Employer Group, LLC. Prior to co-founding Ambrose, Greg practiced tax law with Brown & Wood (now Sidley Austin Brown & Wood) in New York City. Greg holds two law degrees – a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law, and a Juris Doctorate, with distinction, from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta. He received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from New York University. Greg was the recipient of the 2001 Ernst & Young New York Entrepreneur of the Year® award in the employment services category. Greg is a past president and a former member of the board of directors of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO), his industry's trade association. He is also the founder and current treasurer of the NAPEO Political Action Committee, and recently received NAPEO's Government Affairs Leadership Award for his proactive leadership in government affairs. Greg also serves on the Dean's Advisory Board for Emory University's School of Law. He has previously served as Co-Chair of the Heart & Soul Charitable Fund, a New York City based charity which financially supports and facilitates projects that provide for the needs of marginalized individuals in New York City.

    Zachary A. Cherry brings more than ten years of comprehensive finance, investment and strategic advisory experience to the Caerus team. Over the course of a decade on Wall Street, he has developed an acute proficiency in qualitative and quantitative analytics, negotiation as well as complex transaction structuring.

    In 1997, Mr. Cherry began a successful career on Wall Street as a Financial Analyst in Salomon Brother’s Investment Banking Division. He acquired both domestic and international, corporate finance and broad market experience, working in Salomon’s New York and London Offices. In 1999 Cherry joined Neuberger Berman as an Equities Analyst. In his 6 years at Neuberger, Zachary ascended to Senior Lodging & Leisure Analyst, formulating proprietary investment ideas for recommendation to Neuberger’s portfolio management team. He went on to found Cherry Capital LLC, a boutique strategic and finance advisory firm facilitating financing, development and investment across an expansive array of industries.

    Cherry graduated from Brown University in May 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics. Mr. Cherry currently serves as Chief Operating Office of Chadwick’s Products LLC and as a Special Advisor for Inmoo.

    Joe Castelluccio is a corporate attorney with experience representing a broad range of clients in a variety of domestic and international transactional matters. His practice is focused on representing financial and strategic clients in connection with all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, equity financings and private equity transactions. He also represents private and public companies in connection with SEC reporting requirements and various commercial and general corporate matters. In the venture capital industry, Joe represents companies at all stages of development in a wide range of financial and strategic transactions, including debt and equity financings, licensing arrangements and other commercial and business matters. He also represents venture capital funds and other private investors investing in early stage companies and in non-bankruptcy restructurings of distressed companies. Prior to joining Bingham, Joe was an associate in the Corporate, Banking and Business Department at Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. Prior to attending law school, Joe worked at Prudential Securities as an analyst in its Investment Banking group and as an associate in its Equity Capital Markets group. While attending law school, Joe worked in the divisions of enforcement at both the New York Stock Exchange and the NASD (each a predecessor to FINRA).
