    Mary Anne Rooke is the Managing Director of the Angel Investor Forum (AIF) based in Connecticut. AIF's mission is to create a dynamic investment environment where private investors and entrepreneurs can find mutual success. AIF is an investor group comprised of 3 clusters of angel investors located in Hartford, New Haven & Stamford.

    She is also the founder of Rooke & Associates, a boutique management consulting firm that provides interim management, strategic planning, organizational development & executive coaching for businesses of all sizes. Mary Anne enjoys judging business plan competitions and assisting universities' incubator programs. Currently, Mary Anne is working with UConn's Technology Incubation Program (TIP) at the Avery Point Campus to bring in early stage companies into the incubator with a focus on marine science & technology and to mentor these entrepreneurs. Recently, she helped the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute (YEI) link its Summer Fellowship student entrepreneur ventures to mentors from AIF and other business networks.

    Prior to founding Rooke & Associates, Mary Anne held positions as Chief Financial Officer and Controller in multiple industries ranging from start-up ventures to Fortune 500 companies in both publicly owned and privately held sectors. She has served on several boards and commissions in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Connecticut. Mary Anne holds a B.S. in Accounting from Annhurst College and a M.B.A. from Golden Gate University's Executive MBA Program.

    Katherine O’Neill is the Executive Director for JumpStart New Jersey Angel Network, a member led angel investor group that invests in early stage high growth companies in Mid-Atlantic region, and an investor in technology businesses. She currently serves on the Board of the Angel Capital Association ACA the national organization representing angel investor groups in North America. She recently was the Program Chair of the ACA National Leadership Conference held in 2010. Katherine represents the ACA at both national and international events. Katherine is a member of the NJ Economic Development Authority Edison Fund Advisory Board, Ben Franklin Technology Partners of SEPA Advisory Board, NJ Technology CFO Advisory Board, Princeton University MIRTHE Investment Focus Group and Rutgers Innovation Park Advisory Board. In recent years she has spoken at and judged business plan competitions both regionally and nationally at events such as IMPACT, Astia, Microsoft BizSpark NYC competition, Tri State Donald W. Reynolds Cup, Princeton University Jumpstart Innovation Forum and Start Up Weekend Princeton.

    Katherine is a seasoned financial executive and investor in early stage enterprises with extensive experience in start up and entrepreneurial operations as well as operational experiences in a diverse range of businesses. She has particular expertise developing technology-based business as well as strategic business plans. She has extensive multinational experience and financial operation management and knowledge of healthcare pharmaceuticals, information systems, e-commerce and social media. She is the president of O’Neill Associates and consults with technology companies and acts as interim CFO.

    After successfully starting and running a software consulting firm for two years as a student at Morehouse College, Aaron began his professional career at Goldman Sachs in 2004. At Goldman Aaron supported the Program Trading desk. In 2008, Aaron joined the head of Product Development at GFI Group to redesign the firm’s Foreign Exchange Options trading technology platform. While in New York City, Aaron served on three boards: iMentor, Harlem Independent Living Center (HILC), and DSJ Co-op Board of directors.

    At Cornell, Aaron leads the eLab, an incubator that accelerates 9 start-ups. Aaron is also a member of the Entrepreneurship@Cornell student board of directors and leads an initiative to launch a university wide mobile application that uses location based technology to connect Cornell’s community of alumni, students, and faculty. During the 2010 winter break, Aaron developed an access to venture capital strategy and wrote a white paper on investing in biopharmaceutical startups for Ezra Pharmaceuticals, a start-up that leverages intellectual property from Weill Cornell Medical School. The work for Ezra was an effort to help the start-up raise $10M in Series A financing. During the 2011 spring break, Aaron led a team of 7 MBAs in the New Orleans IdeaVillage competition where his team created a sales pipeline and gained access to distribution in Asia for a local entrepreneur who manufactured high-end spa equipment. This summer, Aaron will be working for a NYC venture capital backed start-up. Aaron is a MLT Fellow and a Consortium for Graduate Study in Management Fellow.

    Sean Drake is the Founder and Managing Partner of Stony Lonesome Group. Stony Lonesome Group is a boutique merchant bank making private equity and venture capital investments, whose typical investment ranges from $100,000 to $1mm. SLG is an opportunistic investor, but specializes in opportunities related to Homeland Security and the Military. Previously Mr. Drake was a Partner at Endeavor Capital Management where he was responsible for leading the fund raising efforts and was also an active deal partner sourcing several opportunities and playing an active role in working with portfolio companies.

    Prior to joining Endeavor, Mr. Drake spent eight years in Institutional Sales at boutique institutional broker dealers TradeTrek Securities (Co-Founder) and Vector Partners where his clients included institutional investors, plan sponsors, and hedge funds. He is the founder of Hedge Fund Boot Camp, a series of workshops to train emerging manager hedge fund managers.

    Previously, Mr. Drake was a coach with USA Cycling and USA Triathlon at the United States Olympic Training Center. He is a former national caliber elite triathlete who competed in Duathlon and Ironman World Championship events. He also served five years as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Captain. His qualifications include Ranger, Airborne, and Expert Infantryman's Badge.

    Mr. Drake earned an MS in Exercise Science from the University of Colorado and a BS in Engineering Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He holds the Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.

    Peter is CEO of AxialMarket, an online professional network serving buyers, sellers and advisors of privately held companies. Prior to founding AxialMarket, Peter held positions in private equity at SFW Capital Partners and was part of the founding team at Gerson Lehrman Group, where he helped build the firm’s dominant global marketplace for on-demand business expertise. He went to UVA undergrad and received his MBA from Stanford Business School. His professional career has been substantially dedicated to building high-value technology-powered B2B marketplaces where many thought they couldn’t exist. As a youth, Peter competed on the American National Motocross Tour. His passions include startups, studying the history of American entrepreneurship, angel investing, motorcycles, wakeboarding, and golf.

    Mr. Nichols is Managing Partner at Shorefront Capital Partners, and has an extensive career in technology marketing, sales and product planning. He also formed and sold a boutique brokerage investment office where he held securities licenses and was the Registered Options Principle. He currently is an active Angel Investor with private placements in Opinionaided, LOSO, Disruptive Apps, Advanced Dx as well as a member of the ARC Angel Fund in NYC. He is also is the Treasurer of his homeowners association. His hobbies include photography, boating, car racing & instruction, motorcycle riding.

    Jackie knows what it takes to turn a start-up into a strong, independent company. Jackie has managed active, smaller ventures as well as, large profitable organizations. With over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, Jackie has sat on both sides of the table, negotiating acquisitions or spearheading the sale of small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Her experience encompasses multiple disciplines that center on financial, operational and technical sales at companies such as PointCast,, Pivot Inc, Application Security and Makeover Solutions, Inc.

    In 1995, Ms. Karceski, began at PointCast, Inc., a nascent, year-old, technology company with first “push” technology. During her four year tenure, Jackie held several executive positions within finance, sales and operations. Jackie left PointCast to join a company,, where she was the VP of Finance and CFO. Inshop was sold within 14 months of its inception. In 2000, Jackie joined as VP Strategy and CFO. Jackie was a part of a team that revised the business model and brought the company into the institutional marketplace. Under Jackie’s management, went from a nascent start up with little to no revenues to become a profitable organization with strong revenues and operating margins. During her tenure, Jackie served as the VP of Strategy where she was responsible for several corporate acquisitions and equity financing transactions. In 2006, Jackie joined Application Security, where she managed all business strategy, finance and operations. In 2009, Jackie joined Makeover Solutions as COO with responsibility for all business operations, including technology. Currently, Jacklyn is the Global General Manager for GreenPoint Global, a international professional service outsourcing business with offices in Israel, India, and the US as well as being an active angel investor.

    Jackie sits on several advisory boards and is treasurer for the NJ center for sustainability. Outside of the office, Jackie loves to travel, spends her free time being a children’s art docent and coaching youth sports. Jackie was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she studied business and obtained a BA at University of California, Berkeley. After college she was employed at Deloitte & Touche, where she earned her CPA. She later obtained a Certificate in International Economics from Harvard University, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Santa Clara.
