    Peter joined Connecticut Innovations in 1995. He manages CI’s array of initiatives, including its venture capital investments, laboratory infrastructure fund and support service initiatives. Under his leadership, CI introduced the Pre-Seed Support Services Program, Connecticut Clean Tech Fund and CTech, an entrepreneurial assistance initiative. Additionally, Peter oversees the administration of the ratepayer-funded Connecticut Clean Energy Fund.

    Peter has invested in over 20 early-stage investment opportunities across a variety of technology sectors, leading CI investments in Achillion Pharmaceuticals, CYA Technologies, Nufern, Perimeter eSecurity, Post-N-Track and Transaction Methods. He serves on the boards of CYA Technologies, ExeCue, Optiwind and Post-N-Track. He is a board observer of Perimeter eSecurity and Transaction Methods.

    In addition, Peter serves on the advisory board of the University of Connecticut School of Engineering.

    Prior to being named president and executive director of CI in 2007, Peter was a member of CI’s investment team and most recently was chief investment officer for CI. He also previously served as controller of CI before he joined the investment team.

    Peter is a certified public accountant and a chartered financial analyst. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Connecticut and holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Hartford. Peter also served six years in the Connecticut Army National Guard.

    Patty Meagher is a Principal with Dakota Ventures LLC, an early-stage venture capital firm focusing on communications and information technology. Her main focus is on business development, deal sourcing & funding, and executive coaching. Before joining the firm she spent 12+ years in Investment Banking, Asset Management and Technology, primarily in business development, sales and financial analysis roles.

    Just prior to joining Dakota Ventures, she was the Director of Business Development for the New England Consulting Group and a member of their Private Equity Practice. She joined NECG from Petner Asset Management (a US Hedge Fund) where she had worked as an Equity Analyst.

    Patty began her career as an operations manager at AT&T and in marketing at IBM. After moving to London to help build the European Options Desk at James Capel (now HSBC), she became a Technology Research Analyst, was part of their #1 ranked European Technology Team, and served as acting manager of the European Research Department. She returned to NYC with Kleinwort Benson (now Dresdner Kleinwort) as a VP of European Equity Sales.

    Patty got her Masters from the Wharton Business School and did her undergraduate work at Colorado College and CU-Boulder. She is a Regional Director of the Angel Investor Forum in CT, and on the NYC Advisory Board for Astia, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to building woman leaders and promoting the funding & growth of high- potential, high-growth, women-led startups.

    Michael Kane manages the Kestrel early-stage venture fund. Previously, Mr. Kane served as a Vice-President for Kane Is Able, Inc., a third-generation family-owned logistics company based in Scranton, PA. His responsibilities included strategic planning, financial management, and corporate governance. Prior to joining the family business full time, Mr. Kane co-founded and ran an internet start-up company from 1995-1997, worked in portfolio accounting for a Boston bank, and taught college courses in philosophy and history for twelve years.

    Mr. Kane holds an undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Georgetown University and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Boston College. He has also studied at Oxford University and Freiburg University, Germany.

    Mr. Kane is a Leadership Council member of PathNorth, a national CEO group, the Business Leaders Network, a Philadelphia CEO group, and the Institute for Private Investors, where he is a member of the Advisory Faculty. He currently serves on the board of PharmMD, a Nashville health care company and has previously been the vice-president of a Pennsylvania land trust. He has spoken to family office groups and business leaders on portfolio management and investment strategies. In addition, Mr. Kane is a co-founder of "Pour Richard's Symposium", a Philadelphia group devoted to the discussion of ideas and the enjoyment of wine, in the spirit of Ben Franklin.

    Mr. Kane and his wife Dorothea are the parents of three young children. His interests include spending time with family, hiking, reading, and traveling.

    Victor joined Ironwood Capital in 2006, bringing more than 20 years of experience in high technology venture capital investment and in mergers and acquisitions. He is a member of the equity fund investment committee.

    For more than ten years, he was the President and Executive Director of Connecticut Innovations, the State of Connecticut's investor in emerging technology companies and a national model for public investment in the health care and technology sectors, achieving returns commensurate with the most successful private sector peers. He has built and maintained deep and long-standing relationships in the technology and venture communities.

    Victor received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and is a graduate of both Harvard Law School and the Yale School of Management.

    Prior to co-founding Warbros, John spent eight years working in various marketing capacities in the consumer packaged goods industry - first at Best Foods/CPC, where he managed major food brands, such as Skippy Peanut Butter, and later as a marketing consultant to large and small companies in a variety of industries. In between, he worked at Callard & Bowser (a small candy company later acquired by Kraft Foods), where he helped to build Altoids Peppermints from an unknown $7M brand into the #1 selling mint product in the U.S. with sales today of over $100M. Prior to these experiences, John worked in equity research at Lehman Brothers.

    An angel investor since 2005, John currently serves on the Board of The Angel Investor Forum and is also on their screening committee. He's a serial entrepreneur and an advisor to several Connecticut companies. Prior to that he was a "remote control CEO" for a company he owned in Texas.

    John is a Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Ambrose, LLC. He is the recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® award for New York City in 2001. John currently serves as a member of the board of directors for the Employer Services Assurance Corporation and Streetwise Partners, Inc. Prior to Ambrose, John practiced tax law with Proskauer Rose in New York City. John holds two law degrees – a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law and a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California at San Diego.
