    Albert is an Investment Manager at Qualcomm Ventures. His investment focus is on innovative wireless and mobile technologies and platforms that create significant financial return while enhancing Qualcomm’s strategic position in the wireless industry.

    Prior to Qualcomm Ventures, Albert worked in various engineering and management roles in both startups and public companies. Most recently, he worked at Lux Capital focusing on venture capital investments in MEMS and nanotechnology startups in the wireless industry. He also spent 4 years at Skyworks Solutions and managed the full lifecycle of several wireless semiconductor products that went into some of the most popular 3G WCDMA handsets. Before Skyworks, he played a key technical role in Tavanza, an RFIC startup that was eventually acquired by Anadigics. Currently, Albert also serves as a Board Director for the non-profit Silicon Valley - China Wireless Technology Association. Albert received his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

    Hitesh Anand, veteran in the semiconductor & mobile communications industry with more than 10 years of experience currently serves as Senior Manager, Scouting & Corporate Business Development, for Nokia. Hitesh is responsible for discovering, identifying and validating external innovations in North America, using an "outside-in" venture capital approach, to help create new business opportunities for Nokia. In this role, Hitesh drives the Corporate Business Development open innovation process in North America by screening and analyzing start-ups and proposing & steering high impact candidates for new business opportunities.

    Hitesh joined Nokia in 2005, and has held various positions including Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy where he helped drive Nokia�s technology strategy.

    At Nokia, Hitesh was instrumental in developing Nokia�s Symbian Strategy leading to its subsequent acquisition; providing guidance to the Web Runtime, Browser, Open Foundation & Linux strategy work; formulating the competitive strategy for Java business group; recommending action and influencing change in Nokia Semiconductor Strategy; as well as analyzing acquisition targets and performing quantitative analysis to drive business decision making for Nokia Software Strategy.

    Hitesh has held business & engineering positions at Lucent Technologies, Analog Devices and Motorola Semiconductor Product Sector (now Freescale). Hitesh earned a an MBA from Duke University, USA; an MSE in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University, USA; and a B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev University, India.

    Neal Hansch brings over a decade of experience in venture capital, technology operations and investment banking. Before joining Rustic Canyon, Neal worked in the Corporate Development group at Macromedia, where he was responsible for executing worldwide M&A transactions and strategic equity investments. Prior to Macromedia, Neal was at Technology Crossover Ventures, where he focused on investments in the software, networking infrastructure and e-commerce industries. He has also worked in Product Marketing at webMethods (Nasdaq: WEBM), a leading enterprise application integration company, and co-founded a start-up that provides popular software extensions for Web development tools. Neal began his career as a financial analyst in the Software Group at Robertson Stephens, where he worked with clients such as BEA, BroadVision, HNC, Hyperion, Informatica and Intuit. Neal received his M.B.A. with distinction from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he was a Deutschman Venture Fellow. He also received bachelor degrees in Economics and Psychology from Duke University.

    David Shen is the West Coast Director for Launch Capital. Prior to Launch Capital, David was an active angel investor in the Silicon Valley and NYC, investing in 20+ startups in consumer and B2B internet. Before angel investing, David spent almost 9 years as VP of User Experience and Design at Yahoo! and he and his team were responsible for delivering the user experience for all of Yahoo!'s products and services as well as online advertising programs and producing Yahoo! Front Page ad experiences. He was also a consultant at frogdesign before Yahoo! where he worked on the product design of a toaster for Sunbeam and other computer products. He also worked at Apple where he was the product designer for the Apple Adjustable Keyboard, the Quicktake 100 digital camera, and on the team that designed the AppleVision 1710AV monitors.

    David has a BS in Computer Systems Engineering and a MS in Computer Science from Stanford University. He is an Ironman triathlete and enjoys swimming from Alcatraz to San Francisco whenever he has time.

    J.C Sarner is an active angel investor. A high-tech veteran, J.C brings operational expertise developed over the course of a 20-year general management, sales and marketing career in the software industry. He started a number of businesses and organizations from scratch, successfully bringing software solutions to developers of internet infrastructure, telecom, automotive and other electronic devices. He participated in the creation of the Microcomputer Software Group at Intel, before taking leading roles at software companies such as Diab Data, Integrated Systems and creating a new business unit at Wind River. On the M&A front, J.C Sarner has repeatedly been on both sides of the coin. In particular, he co-founded Optimizing Software Tools, Inc. where he was instrumental in the management buy-out of Diab Data. J.C holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, where he graduated in 1984.

    Seed and A rounds of companies located in the Bay Area, in the following sectors: * Life sciences, with a concentration in medical devices * Hi Tech, mostly software * Retail Strong preference for short exit plans.

    J.C knows from experience some of the mistakes first time entrepreneurs may make in building their businesses. He is willing to provide advice and act as a sounding board. J.C Sarner may take board observer positions, but he usually declines full board memberships.

    Shlomo Waser is a veteran executive with more than 30 years experience in the high tech industry. His background includes engineering, marketing and general management as well as strategic acquisitions and equity investments. One of his equity investments led to over 20X return to the corporate investor. He managed global business units as large as $220M annual revenues as well as managing groups up to 170 people located around the globe. Currently he is an independent consultant to startup companies. His other experience includes Oak technology where he was the SVP & GM of the company largest business unit. He had a similar position at Zilog. Previously he was the VP and general manager of a business unit at Philips, which he grew from $24M to $220M annual revenues. Prior to Philips he held marketing positions at AMD and MMI. In addition to BSEE and MSEE he also received a graduate degree in computer engineering from Stanford University. He co-authored a book on computer arithmetic and was a visiting scholar at Stanford University.
