    Mr. Botts has over 40 years of management experience having been President, CEO, Director and/or Chairman of the Board of more than 30 public and private companies since 1978. His early focus was in the high tech arena including software, computer systems, semiconductors and services. Mr. Botts spent the first 19 years of his career with Rockwell International where, in the early 70s, he became Vice President of the Environmental, Utility and Energy Systems Division. He added substantial experience in consumer products in the1990s through working with Buck Knives, Hard Candy, Impact Sports, Sara Happ LLC and other consumer products companies. He has been active in recent years with companies requiring turnaround help in both the high tech and consumer products segments. Botts has served in director roles for public and private corporations as well as charitable and non-profit boards. He was recently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Project.net (project execution software) and Astute Networks (network acceleration semiconductors) and is an outside director for HK Plastics (manufacturing), Buck Knives (consumer products), Quality Systems Inc., (software) and for four years was on the board of SmartConnect (video security systems). He serves on the Advisory Board of the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), Mendenhall Innovation Center. Additionally he was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Desert Research Institute Foundation. Mr. Botts is an active angel investor and is Chairman and Treasurer of the Vegas Valley Angels. He has BS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from California Polytechnic University and did graduate work in Nuclear Engineering at UCLA.

    Mr. Gephart founded Ventana in 1974. In 1982, Ventana's Board decided upon a Global Charter for Ventana's first institutional venture fund, established in 1984. Since then, Mr. Gephart has led the successful global launch of 5 U.S. Technology venture capital and private equity funds. In the past, he has worked with his Latin American Partners to form funds in both Chile and Mexico, but now focuses entirely on U.S. technology companies.

    As Ventana's driving force, Tom has implemented the firm's proactive investment style, by assisting companies in the necessary business strategies and relationships for introduction to the public capital markets. He pioneered Ventana's focus in both the high tech and life sciences sectors. He has led the active investment by Ventana's affiliated funds in 76 portfolio companies in these two sectors, with roles ranging from CEO to Chairman to Director. His long history of actively working shoulder-to-shoulder with the senior management and boards of directors of these companies makes him an ideal person to lead Ventana's activities in these areas.

    Prior to the formation of Ventana, Mr. Gephart held executive positions with AMP, Inc., Bunker-Ramo Corporation, Hughes Aircraft and Interlink, Co. He has served as Chairman and a director of numerous public and private companies, including: Fidelica Microsystems; HemaCare Corporation; Infrasonics, Inc.; Maxim Pharmaceuticals, Inc.; Medical Imaging Centers of America, Inc.; R2 Medical Systems, Inc.; SenDx Medical, Inc.; and Tickets.com.

    Mr. Gephart remains actively involved with several civic and business organizations including the UC San Diego CONNECT program, World Affairs Council, Association for Corporate Growth, the International Protocol Foundation, the USC School of Engineering Dean's Board of Councilors, and the Leadership Forum for the Technology Coast. He is also on the Board of Concordia University. Mr. Gephart earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Southern California.

    Joel Yarmon is an Associate at Draper Associates and focuses on seed stage consumer and internet investments. Prior to joining Draper Associates Joel served as a Director for the United States Senate Commerce Committee, advising Senators on technology legislation and policy. Joel also co-founded an IT consulting startup, Iceware Technologies, where he specialized in wireless application infrastructure.

    Joel holds an MBA from Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business, and a BA from the University of Puget Sound where he was an NCAA skier. Joel also attended the United States Naval War College where he studied Joint Maritime Operations. In addition to skiing, Joel enjoys running, biking, and flying.

    Brad is the CEO of DLF Capital in Denver which invests in and develops startup companies in the consumer and business services, and consumer product spaces.

    Brad is also a Professor at the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business where he teaches Entrepreneurial Management and Strategy in the Executive MBA program.

    He brings over twenty five years of progressive experience in launching and managing startup and corporate businesses. Brad has an extensive background in service, real estate and telecommunication businesses.

    Brad began his career as a management consultant at Bain & Co. Brad helped raise $600+ million in launching and successfully building WildBlue Communications (broadband), Loyalty Management Group (consumer promotions), Springridge Development (land development) and PrimeStar (satellite TV). Brad also had successful P&L responsibility in his Vice President roles in sales, marketing and operational functions at Polaroid and Time Warner Cable.

    Brad also works at a Board level with nonprofits including Oxfam America, Food Bank of the Rockies and Operation Frontline. Brad received the 2006 SOS National Community Leader Award. Brad was a 2000 Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute.

    Brad received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Princeton University. Brad received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1990. Brad lives with his wife and 3 children in Denver, Colorado.
