    Mr. Botts has over 40 years of management experience having been President, CEO, Director and/or Chairman of the Board of more than 30 public and private companies since 1978. His early focus was in the high tech arena including software, computer systems, semiconductors and services. Mr. Botts spent the first 19 years of his career with Rockwell International where, in the early 70s, he became Vice President of the Environmental, Utility and Energy Systems Division. He added substantial experience in consumer products in the1990s through working with Buck Knives, Hard Candy, Impact Sports, Sara Happ LLC and other consumer products companies. He has been active in recent years with companies requiring turnaround help in both the high tech and consumer products segments. Botts has served in director roles for public and private corporations as well as charitable and non-profit boards. He was recently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Project.net (project execution software) and Astute Networks (network acceleration semiconductors) and is an outside director for HK Plastics (manufacturing), Buck Knives (consumer products), Quality Systems Inc., (software) and for four years was on the board of SmartConnect (video security systems). He serves on the Advisory Board of the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), Mendenhall Innovation Center. Additionally he was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Desert Research Institute Foundation. Mr. Botts is an active angel investor and is Chairman and Treasurer of the Vegas Valley Angels. He has BS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from California Polytechnic University and did graduate work in Nuclear Engineering at UCLA.

    Neal Hansch brings over a decade of experience in venture capital, technology operations and investment banking. Before joining Rustic Canyon, Neal worked in the Corporate Development group at Macromedia, where he was responsible for executing worldwide M&A transactions and strategic equity investments. Prior to Macromedia, Neal was at Technology Crossover Ventures, where he focused on investments in the software, networking infrastructure and e-commerce industries. He has also worked in Product Marketing at webMethods (Nasdaq: WEBM), a leading enterprise application integration company, and co-founded a start-up that provides popular software extensions for Web development tools. Neal began his career as a financial analyst in the Software Group at Robertson Stephens, where he worked with clients such as BEA, BroadVision, HNC, Hyperion, Informatica and Intuit. Neal received his M.B.A. with distinction from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he was a Deutschman Venture Fellow. He also received bachelor degrees in Economics and Psychology from Duke University.

    Matt Chagan joined Trident Capital in 2007 and is a Vice President in the Palo Alto office. Prior to Trident, Matthew was a Vice President in the Private Capital Group at SVB Alliant, Silicon Valley Bank’s investment banking arm, where he worked on a number of transactions in the software, communications, internet and cleantech sectors. Before Alliant, Matthew was the Director of Finance at SOMA Networks, a WiMAX systems company focused on selling hardware, software and services to telecom carriers. Before joining SOMA, Matthew worked as an Associate in Banc of America Securities’ Technology Investment Banking Group.

    Matt holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Colgate University where he graduated cum laude.

    Steve Goldberg joined Venrock in 2009 after having been CEO of several early stage companies including DataRunway, Vidient, Arcwave, and CoWave Networks. He was Vice President of Research and Development at Nokia Internet Communications and VP and GM of the Wireless Communications Division at Cylink Corporation. Steve has also held senior management and engineering positions at Trimble Navigation and Hewlett Packard. Additionally, Steve enjoys teaching and public speaking, and has delivered a number of academic and industrial courses in the areas of wireless, telecom, and signal processing.

    Prior to Qualcomm Ventures, Albert worked in various engineering and management roles in both startups and public companies. Most recently, he worked at Lux Capital focusing on venture capital investments in MEMS and nanotechnology startups in the wireless industry. He also spent 4 years at Skyworks Solutions and managed the full lifecycle of several wireless semiconductor products that went into some of the most popular 3G WCDMA handsets. Before Skyworks, he played a key technical role in Tavanza, an RFIC startup that was eventually acquired by Anadigics. Currently, Albert also serves as a Board Director for the non-profit Silicon Valley - China Wireless Technology Association. Albert received his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

In addition to his ongoing management consulting practice, Mark has also founded, operated, and grown a number of companies in a variety of industries and considers himself first and foremost a “serial entrepreneur.” With considerable start-up, turn-around, and operations and finance experience, Mark brings a very well-rounded skill set to his clients; as a business counselor his sole focus is to help entrepreneurs succeed.

    Mark has many years of active business experience at senior executive levels in business sectors including: commercial real estate development and management, telecommunications & networking, internet-based education, commercial aviation services, franchise operations, retail quick service restaurant development and management, and specialty retail products. Mark also has 60 years of cumulative experience as a board member with both public and private companies in a wide range of industries to include: commercial banking, broadband wireless services, software development, data archival and retrieval service systems, social networking, franchise systems, and fast/casual dining. In addition, Mark is an active private equity investor and advisor to seed and early stage ventures.

    Early in Mark’s career, after graduating from the United States Air Force Academy and earning his commission as an officer in the United States Air Force, he served his country as an eight-year fighter pilot and instructor pilot where he flew five different types of fighter aircraft with the majority of his experience in the F-16 Falcon.

    Mark is the founding Chairman of the Vegas Valley Angels, a non-profit organization of accredited investors whose purpose is to search out, invest in, mentor, and foster the development of new and developing companies located principally in the Southwest. Mark is a past board member and officer of the Nevada Chapter of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) where he was active for nine years. He is a founder and past president of the Harvard Business School Armed Forces Alumni Association and a member of the Harvard Alumni Association. For years Mark has been active with various entrepreneurship related organizations in the Las Vegas area to include the Technology Ventures Corporation, the Vegas Venture Forum, the Donald W. Reynolds Nevada Business Plan Competition, and UNLV’s Center for Entrepreneurship, to name a few. Mark is also currently a member of the Board of Advisors to the Nevada Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology and he frequently guest lectures for the UNLV College of Business at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive MBA program levels.

    Mark’s education includes an MBA degree from Harvard Business School, as well as an MA degree in Management from National University. His Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations & Foreign Affairs was earned at the United States Air Force Academy.

    He brings over twenty five years of progressive experience in launching and managing startup and corporate businesses. Brad has an extensive background in service, real estate and telecommunication businesses.

    Brad began his career as a management consultant at Bain & Co. Brad helped raise $600+ million in launching and successfully building WildBlue Communications (broadband), Loyalty Management Group (consumer promotions), Springridge Development (land development) and PrimeStar (satellite TV). Brad also had successful P&L responsibility in his Vice President roles in sales, marketing and operational functions at Polaroid and Time Warner Cable.

    Brad also works at a Board level with nonprofits including Oxfam America, Food Bank of the Rockies and Operation Frontline. Brad received the 2006 SOS National Community Leader Award. Brad was a 2000 Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute.

    Brad received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Princeton University. Brad received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1990. Brad lives with his wife and 3 children in Denver, Colorado.

    Kyle Harris is the Managing Director of Liquidity Works. He began his career in the Foreign Military Sales group for the Navy's F-18 aircraft program, ultimately running the team that sold over $3.5 Billion dollars is USG equipment worldwide. He next ran international marketing for the NYMEX crude oil contract working with foreign governments and multinationals to develop risk management programs around the world's largest traded commodity. After receiving his MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Business he began an early stage incubator which funded several notable projects. As a operator/entrepreneur, he was COO of IMTI Systems an insurance software provider, and was the founder of Global Detection and Reporting, Inc a company offering innovative risk detection tools for illegal drugs in the workplace. Kyle is married, has three children and lives in NYC.
