    Hitesh Anand, veteran in the semiconductor & mobile communications industry with more than 10 years of experience currently serves as Senior Manager, Scouting & Corporate Business Development, for Nokia. Hitesh is responsible for discovering, identifying and validating external innovations in North America, using an "outside-in" venture capital approach, to help create new business opportunities for Nokia. In this role, Hitesh drives the Corporate Business Development open innovation process in North America by screening and analyzing start-ups and proposing & steering high impact candidates for new business opportunities.

    Hitesh joined Nokia in 2005, and has held various positions including Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy where he helped drive Nokia�s technology strategy.

    At Nokia, Hitesh was instrumental in developing Nokia�s Symbian Strategy leading to its subsequent acquisition; providing guidance to the Web Runtime, Browser, Open Foundation & Linux strategy work; formulating the competitive strategy for Java business group; recommending action and influencing change in Nokia Semiconductor Strategy; as well as analyzing acquisition targets and performing quantitative analysis to drive business decision making for Nokia Software Strategy.

    Hitesh has held business & engineering positions at Lucent Technologies, Analog Devices and Motorola Semiconductor Product Sector (now Freescale). Hitesh earned a an MBA from Duke University, USA; an MSE in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University, USA; and a B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev University, India.

    Jim Connor serves as President of Sand Hill Angels. He has been active in financial software applications for the past twenty years and was most recently the President of JPMorgan SymPro, a subsidiary of JP Morgan Chase & Company from August 2003 to May 2007. JPMorgan SymPro is the leading provider of Treasury Management software to the public sector, specifically focusing on investment management, bond issuance/debt management and the integration of treasury and liquidity operations. Jim was the founder and CEO of SymPro, Inc., grew the company to become the unqualified leader in its market space and managed the acquisition with JP Morgan Chase & Company.

    Prior to SymPro, Inc, Jim worked at Xerox Computer Services in Software Development Management, in the development and deployment of systems which supported the distribution of Xerox parts and supplies in North America. Prior to Xerox, Jim was employed in Europe within the computer technology sector and started his career with the NCR software and Operations Groups.

    Jim is active in applying software technology to financial and business applications. He is currently the President of Discover Ventures, LLC which provides sales and marketing services to technology companies. He has published several White Papers on specific financial models and has a patent application accepted by USTPO. He serves on several advisory boards, is an active angel investor and serves as the Program Chair of the (SVASE) Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs, CXO Forum. He holds a Bachelors degree in Business from the University of Cincinnati and is a member of several professional finance associations.

    Annette Finsterbusch is a director for Applied Ventures in the Corporate Business Development group of Applied Materials since 2004, responsible for identifying, recommending and managing venture capital investments. She is also a Kauffman Fellow.

    Prior to joining Applied Materials, Ms. Finsterbusch was the CEO at, a technology spin-out of DaimlerChrysler's Research and Technology Center. Prior to that position, Ms. Finsterbusch was an investment manager for DaimlerChrysler Venture Capital since 2001, responsible for enterprise software investments. Ms. Finsterbusch also had previously worked for Applied Materials, leading its business development efforts in Russia, Belarus and Armenia from 1996 through 2000, chartering the company's first office in Moscow.

    Ms. Finsterbusch's philanthropic directorships include seats on both the Board of Directors for the Junior League of San Jose and the Exception Women Executives of San Jose State University.

    Ms. Finsterbusch received a Bachelor of Science in economics and geology from the University of Houston and a Master's in Business Administration in Strategy and Finance from San Jose State University, where she was honored with the Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) Award in 2004.

He has also worked in Product Marketing at webMethods (Nasdaq: WEBM), a leading enterprise application integration company, and co-founded a start-up that provides popular software extensions for Web development tools. Neal began his career as a financial analyst in the Software Group at Robertson Stephens, where he worked with clients such as BEA, BroadVision, HNC, Hyperion, Informatica and Intuit. Neal received his M.B.A. with distinction from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he was a Deutschman Venture Fellow. He also received bachelor degrees in Economics and Psychology from Duke University.

    Prior to joining E-TEK, Ryan was with Summit Partners, a private equity firm, where he focused primarily on the communications industry, including Summit's investment in E-TEK Dynamics in July 1997.

    Ryan received his B.S. and M.S. in Earth Systems from Stanford University.

    Charles is an accomplished venture capital investor who has been with EDV since 1999. His primary focus is on companies with the potential to radically change the capabilities, cost/performance and energy efficiency of datacenters and enterprise computing environments. This includes companies in the systems, storage and cloud computing sectors.

    Prior to joining EDV, Charles served as a partner at Piper Jaffray Ventures, where he helped manage the firms technology venture capital funds. Charles gained early venture capital experience at Scripps Ventures, where he helped design and implement an early-stage investment strategy for a newly formed venture fund.

    Early in his career, Charles was involved with the design and implementation of healthcare IT systems at the Mayo Clinic, including Mayos first radiology information system.

    In addition to his for-profit boards, Charles serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Camp Chippewa Foundation, and works actively with several other education-based non-profits.

    Charles received a Bachelors degree in economics from Colby College and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvanias Wharton School.

    Don Wood is a Managing Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, where he leads the DFJ Global Network Funds and is an active member of DFJ's investment team, with a primary focus on Cleantech and IT investing. The DFJ Global Network has grown to include 16 funds managing over $6B on four continents, with 140 professionals, and hundreds of active portfolio companies. Dons cleantech career began with his first post-college job at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. working in the policy planning department. Later he was SVP of Sales and Marketing at International Power Technology which designed, financed, installed and operated gas-turbine co-generation power plants. Don also assisted the founders of SunPower (SPWR) in writing their original business plans and raising capital. Don served on the Board and was President of Metricom (MCOM), which provided wireless smart grid systems to utilities and pioneered the first wireless mesh-network Internet service known as Ricochet. Dons active cleantech investments include Oasys and Konarka.

    Prior to joining, DFJ Don was a General Partner at Vanguard Ventures where he invested in IT, consumer internet, and cleantech. Dons past and present Boards include Vocera Communications, ZipRealty (ZIPR), Reflectivity (acq. by TI), Sylantro (acq. by BroadSoft),, Casabi, MySoftware (MYSW), and the Entrepreneurs Foundation, a non-profit community organization. Don was also with Octel Communications(OCTL), worldwide leader in voicemail systems. He co-founded Wood-Howard Products with his patent for a laminated publishing format which he later licensed to Simon and Schuster, FastMark, Rand McNally, and others; more than 100 million products have been sold under these licenses. Don was also a consultant with McKinsey and Company in their SF and Sydney offices.

    Don earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Stanford University, and a Master in Business Administration degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Don recently won the "Nonprofit Board Leader Award" from The Volunteer Center of San Francisco. Don is still trying to improve his sailboarding, golfing, and skiing; his basketball is now limited to watching Stanford play.

    Prior to co-founding Formative Ventures, Clint served as vice president of marketing, sales, and business development at SkyStream Networks (acquired by Tandberg TV), a leading provider of video routing equipment. Under his leadership, SkyStream formed partnerships with industry leaders such as AOL Time Warner, HP, Microsoft, RealNetworks, Lucent Technologies, Mitsubishi, and Philips.

    Prior to joining SkyStream, Clint served as senior director of marketing at C-Cube Microsystems where he was responsible for marketing for the PC Division, a group he co-founded and grew to run rates exceeding $50M in sales annually. Clint began his tenure at C-Cube as the first salesperson for the company, where he created the companys sales representation network around the country.

    Before joining C-Cube in 1990, Clint held numerous sales and sales management positions at Motorola Semiconductor, where he was recognized as one of the companys top salespeople.

    Clint earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California at Berkeley.
