    With more than 11 years experience, Joe Walsh is an accomplished professional who brings to CIT a strong background in corporate planning for large companies as well as startups. Most recently, Mr. Walsh served as Vice President of Corporate Development for Outbounder, a message technology company. There he defined corporate and product strategy, established sales channels and led the product management group for an innovative multi-channel message product. Mr. Walsh also served as director of corporate development for kinkos.com, where he was responsible for setting the company's strategic direction and negotiating corresponding business partnerships. In this role, he developed kinkos.com's plans for commercial accounts and international expansion.

    Before joining kinkos.com, Mr. Walsh was a consultant with Deloitte Consulting, where he helped major financial institutions and telecommunications firms develop Internet strategies. Also, as founder and chief executive officer of BnBFinder.com, a traveler information Web site, Mr. Walsh established the company's strategic direction, market strategy and operational framework still in existence today. Prior to attending graduate school, Mr. Walsh was a principal at American Management Systems, where he founded the image management practice for financial services and guided large organizations in implementing Internet technologies.

    Mr. Walsh received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from James Madison University and his master's degree from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.

    Cal is Partner-in-Charge of Grant Thorntonís Technology Industry Practice. This national practice focuses on serving technology-driven companies, including those involved in life sciences, technology services, software, telecommunications, technology hardware, and Internet commerce.

    In addition to leading the Technology Industry Practice, Cal also serves as Client Service Partner for technology companies in the Washington, D.C. area. During his 27 years with the firm, Cal has assisted his clients with meeting implementation and application of new FASBs, acquisitions and divestitures of businesses, business planning, implementation of stock option and executive incentive compensation plans, as well as numerous other matters. Cal has also led Grant Thornton teams on numerous initial public offerings.

    Scott has a deep understanding of the issues facing high growth companies from his experience as an investor and advisor to emerging technology companies since 1994. Prior to founding Valhalla Partners, Scott was at FBR Technology Venture Partners ("FBRTVP"). Scott joined FBRTVP in 1997 as its second employee, and in doing so played a key role in the creation and management of one of the Mid-Atlantic region's most successful venture capital funds. To date, the FBRTVP funds have produced seven IPOs, including webMethods, the most successful software IPO in history, and FBRTVP I has realized returns of approximately nine times invested capital. Prior to leaving FBRTVP, Scott was promoted to General Partner. Prior to FBRTVP, Scott was a consultant at Dean & Company where he focused on strategy and business model development in the telecommunications and technology industries. Prior to his work at Dean & Company, Scott was a corporate attorney at Vinson & Elkins, L.L.P. Scott is a former Director of the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association ("MAVA"), and he co-founded the Young mid-Atlantic Venture Association ("YAVA"), serving as its first President and Chairman. Scott received a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Duke University, where he was an A.B. Duke Scholar. Scott and his wife live in Washington, D.C.

    Kim Cooke is a founding partner and managing director of Blue Water Capital. He brings his knowledge of global financial services, credit and insurance to the team of managing partners and serves on the boards of Blue Water portfolio companies: Tech Enterprises Inc. (Techbooks), Streampipe.com (formerly known as TEN-TV), Verus Financial Management (formerly known as Network 1 Financial), and International Commerce Corporation (ICC). Trained as a transactional lawyer, he is a private equity investor with expansive business and legal experience. Additionally, he serves as director of several not-for-profit organizations. He received a master of law degree, with highest honors, from American University.

    Joseph R. Zell became a General Partner in January of 2002. Mr. Zell has an extensive, 20-year operating background in communications and data networking, including nine years with US West Communications-now Qwest Communications, where he was instrumental in building US WEST's !NTERPRISE Networking Division and was the president of the division for the last four years. He was most recently chief executive officer of Convergent Communications. Prior to US WEST, he held a variety of management positions at WilTel, LDXNet, United Technologies Communications, MCI Communications and Xerox Corporation. At Grotech, Mr. Zell focuses on investment opportunities in the Emerging Industries practice with emphasis on the communications, networking, software and outsourcing sectors. Mr. Zell graduated with honors from Southwest Missouri State University with a B.S. in Marketing.
