    Mark Stair is an entrepreneur and investor focusing on software, wireless, and real estate. He currently owns and operates three companies: Axcis.Net providing customer and service management software for service companies, CosmicStep providing software and engineering consulting services, and RealStep for real estate holdings. He has worked and invested with startup companies such as RunTime Logic, Consystant, and Digital Camera Network. He worked for Motorola for 15 years in management and engineering for wireless products. His last assignments for Motorola included General Manager of the Wireless Data division in Bothell, and Managing Director of the wireless development group in Singapore. He has a MEE from Florida Atlantic University and BSEE from University of Illinois.

    Jim Thornton, Managing Director, Guide Ventures Jim Thornton, Managing Director, Guide Ventures

    Mr. Thornton has over 20 years experience with technology based companies in the areas of technology management, finance, strategic planning and international partnering. He started the Latin American Division of Newsweek Magazine in 1978 generating $15MM in revenues and 150,000 in circulation by 1980.

    In 1985, Mr. Thornton was the 23rd employee and Vice President of Finance and Operations for Aldus Corporation taking the company public through Alex Brown & Sons in 1987. In addition, he established the European operations for Aldus Corporation and was a member of the Board of Directors for Aldus Europe. During the early 90's, Mr. Thornton was an adjunct professor of International Finance at Seattle University and lectured throughout the United States on international financial issues such as joint venture development, channel distribution and currency management. From 1997 to 1999, he was CEO for Lifespex Corporation, a startup bio-photonics company in Kirkland, Washington that included Hoya Corporation, Johnson & Johnson Ventures and Vanguard Venture Partners as investors. Mr. Thornton is a CPA and holds an MBA from Rutgers University. Mr. Thornton is a member of the Board of Directors for Bocada.

    Jim splits his time between Seattle and Southern California by being active in both the San Diego Regional Technology Association and the Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical Association. Jim is an active member in various Seattle charities, an advisor to Pathways Medical Technology and involved in mentoring programs at Seattle University.

    Katarina G. Bonde is Managing Director at Kubi LLC, which engages in technology investments and international board consulting. Focus is on Scandinavian companies needing international expansion and US companies moving into Europe. She is also the president of the Seraph Capital Forum, the foremost women’s organization of active angels in the Puget Sound region

    Ms. Bonde was most recently CEO of UniSite Software Inc., maker of internet and wireless software, which she financed through venture capital and sold in 2003. She was with Captura Software Inc, as Executive VP and Managing Director of Captura International, Ltd. and helped raise over $100 M before it was acquired by Concur Technologies (CNQR).

    She has also held positions as Director, Market Development, for Dun & Bradstreet Software; VP of Sales and Marketing for Timeline Software, during the company’s NASDAQ IPO; CEO of Programator Industri AB in Sweden, and sales and marketing positions with Digital Equipment AB, Sweden.

    Current board positions include Chairman of Aptilo Networks, provider of Wi-Fi software, Chairman of Netreflector Inc, Director of Framfab AB (FRAM OMX) a European public IT company. Ms. Bonde also serves as Vice Chair of Swedish American Chamber of Commerce-USA and is President of Seraph Capital Forum, business angel network. Ms. Bonde has a strong passion for arts and is Director of the Royal Swedish Opera, serves on the Seattle Opera and the Board of Sigvard and Marianne Bernadotte Art Foundation. Ms. Bonde holds a MSc from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Jon Staenberg has been working with venture backed companies for more than a decade, and has participated in over 100 deals. In this capacity he has started his own company, worked full-time in other companies, and consulted to over 50 startups. He is one of the most experienced venture capitalists in the Pacific Northwest, having raised two funds totaling over $100 million. After working in the marketing area at Microsoft for six years, he joined Virtual i-O as VP of Sales & Marketing. During the last eight years, he has been engaged in business planning, business development, financial planning and fundraising, recruiting and mergers and acquisitions work for a variety of Silicon Valley and Seattle-based startups. Jon is also an active Angel Investor.

    Mr. Ritner has been involved in the financial services industry for over 35 years. For the last 25 years he has been self-employed in the Investment Banking field. His focus has been raising funds for early stage companies. He has been involved in numerous private offerings including Eden Bioscience, Primus Knowledge Solutions, Courtlink, Bainbridge Sciences, Door-to-Door Storage, Targeted Growth, Acadio, Cybercamps, and Tully’s Coffee. He is a registered investment advisor and refers clients to third-party managers. He occasionally consults to early-stage companies. Prior he was a stock broker.

    Miten Mehta, General Partners, Cronus Ventures Miten Mehta, General Partners, Cronus Ventures

    Mr. Mehta is a globally recognized leading independent authority and think tank on mobile and web based services and communities. He is focused on wireless and internet investments at Cronus Ventures and is also Co-founder and COO of MoConDi, a white label managed 3G content service provider out of London, which is now part of MobileMedia. He along with other co-founders build MoConDi ground-up in 2002 and led it to its acquisition by MobileMedia in late 2004. MobileMedia is a European leader in rich media content publishing and distribution with over 30 mil Euro in revenues and 200 employees in 15 countries.

    Prior to MoConDi, Miten was Vice-President of business development and strategy at InfoSpace for over three years, where he helped scale the wireless content and application services business to $120 mil/year revenue and managed operations.

    Before, Miten has been co-founder and COO of eComLive, a wireless start-up based out of CA that he successfully led for acquisition by InfoSpace in 1999 for peak valuation of $250 mil. Mr. Mehta also did executive consulting stints at Qualcomm and Ericsson and held various management positions at UUNET, a unit of MCIWorldcom, before.

    Miten is also angel investor / board of advisor in several companies including Tradeits, BuddyStream, Wayrich Technologies among others. He is honorary and charter member of US-China Wireless Association, CTIA – WIC, UW Wireless Board and TIE Wireless SIG among others. He did his bachelors in Telecommunications from University of Pune and has done executive marketing from Kellogg School of Management. Miten currently resides, with his wife Sheetal and two kids Miloshi and Shiv, in Seattle.
