Granite State Angels is a conglomeration of about 25 outstanding entrepreneurs of extensive experiences in their respective fields of business, joined together by a common goal and interest in providing capitals to companies located in the New Hampshire area.
Granite State Angels provide investments for start-up companies within the range of $100,000 to $1 million. If the company is in need of a bigger funding in the future, the investment group can endorse them to an affiliated company. The group is interested to invest in a company that has a great potential for success and already has an efficiently developed concept and a feasible business plan. Any interested company can submit its application to the Executive Director. The Executive Director shall evaluate the business proposal and perform an initial due diligence process. He will then endorse the proposal to the investment group. If the proposal arouses the interest of the group, the company will be requested to present its business plans. If the presentation generates more interest from the group, a collective due diligence process will follow. After which, the members or a sub-group of members will decide if they will push forward for an investment. A company that is approved for investment shall not only receive capital, but members shall provide their expertise and participation in the management, operation and marketing functions.
The Granite State Angels hold monthly meetings to evaluate business proposals from candidate companies, perform due diligence process, widen their network of relationships, be updated with the current news in the investment business, and provide assistance and advice to candidate companies on their investment applications. Members of the Granite State Angels can make individual investment decisions because they are not formally affiliated. Membership to the investment group is still currently open.
