i2E FundingPost Venture Capital and Angel Investor Network
Originally established as the Oklahoma Technology Development Corporation (OTDC), i2E is a non-profit corporation that aims to provide business opportunities by funding technology-based companies in Oklahoma. The group is looking for ventures with unique advantage and huge market potential that can create jobs and opportunities to upsurge the state's economic growth. Aside from providing capital investment, i2E devises strategies to fuel Oklahoma's economy through product and service development, management mentoring, and providing significant resources to advanced technology-based companies within the area. Moreover, the group strives for global competency as its team of accredited investors and fireball entrepreneurs seeks the next market blockbuster in Oklahoma today.

The OTDC was founded in 1997 based on an initiative by the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST) to commercialize the advantage of technology among its consumers. Over the years, i2E continues to commence development programs to support students, researchers, scientists, investors, and entrepreneurs to utilize present resources and turn them into valuable business opportunities by attracting investments outside the region through the Oklahoma Technology Commercialization Center (OTCC). In line with this, an investment fund was created in 2002 to assist start-up technology companies -- the Enterprise Oklahoma Venture Fund (EOVF). The Fund aids businesses in Oklahoma that do not usually get financed by traditional angel groups and venture capitalist firms. In addition, the annual Donald W. Reynolds Governor's Cup is one of 12E's programs to support proposals from university students with incentives and prizes more than $100,000. The Cup is an embodiment of the group's objective -- to emphasize the profitable aspects of technology ventures. Furthermore, i2E conducts invitational seminars and activities to educate private investors about the nature of angel investing and the operations involved. As the name of the organization implies, i2E strives to turn present innovations into worthwhile and lucrative enterprises.

Since its inception in 1998, the OTCC has invested approximately $221 million in more than 85 technology companies, not to mention that the program has helped over 1200 ventures in the state. Its list of portfolio companies include Cytovance, Coastal Covers, DeepReach, Evident Health Services, iFitness, Phermaceutica, Selexys, Tulsa Biofuels, XPC Systems, and Zigbeef.
