The Enterprise Oklahoma Venture Fund (EOVF) is only one of the programs offered by i2E in support to technological companies based in Oklahoma. The history of EOVF dates back to 1997 when i2E was established in response to the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology's (OCAST) call for technology commercialization. i2E provides support for Oklahoma-based companies through programs that enhance viable business planning, acquiring network of contacts and access to funding resources. i2E is a member of the prime investment association in North America, the Angel Capital Association. The OCAST Technology Business Finance Program (TBFP), on the other hand, was also formed to further enhance the support available to newly emerging technological companies, particularly addressing to funding needs. Finally, in 2002, the Enterprise Oklahoma Venture Fund was established to operate as a small investment capital fund according to the laws of the state, in connection to particular government legislation such as the Quality Jobs Investment Program and the Small Business Capital Formation Incentive Acts.
