The Boise Angel Alliance is an angel investment group founded by the Boise Metro Economic Development Council, the Office of Science & Technology and various volunteers at Boise, Idaho in 2004. It was conceived due to an imminent need of support for the progress of newly established companies and the realization that an angel investment group has a vital role in fulfilling that need, as well as in the development of the whole economy. Thus, the Boise Angel Alliance was formed and has organized a group of accredited investors who are willing to allot a portion of their money and expertise to help nurture newly emerging businesses.

Members of the Boise Angel Alliance are accredited investors in accordance to the rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission of the United States. Accredited investors can be banks; any private business development company; any organization; any director, executive officer, or general partner of the investment organization; any natural person who has an individual or joint net worth of at least $1 million; any natural person who has an individual annual income of at least $200,000 or a joint annual income of at least $300,000; any trust with a total asset of at least $5 million; or any organization or body whose members are accredited investors. Members should also have prior experience on angel investment or other form of investments, due diligence process, investment framework and mentoring entrepreneurs, or are interested in learning everything about angel investment. They should also be willing to share and develop their network of contacts in various fields and industries. It is also imperative that the members are active in participating in the investment group's events and activities.

Those who are interested to become member investors of the Boise Angel Alliance can accomplish and submit an Investor Registration Form available online. An applicant should be available for further questions and clarifications from the group. Those who are qualified shall be given a user name and password for complete access to the group's website.

The Boise Angel Alliance invests on newly emerging companies preferably in the Boise area. The amount of investment that the group makes ranges from $50,000 to $1 million. Interested companies should accomplish and submit a Presenter Application available online. All applications will be reviewed by the Presenter Application Committee for further questions and clarifications on the application details. The Presenter Application Committee also entertains queries from applicants. Then, the candidate company will be requested to discuss their application with the Selection Committee. After which, evaluation details and feedback shall be made. Applications will either be accepted and requested for presentation and posted on the group's website, or just be posted on the group's website, or will be returned and referred to resources. Only after a candidate company has made a business presentation to the entire member investors that an investment decision shall be made.

It widens ones knowledge and understanding about angel investment groups and its role in the economy of the whole nation. The tremendous impact of angel investment is shown through a narration of how rapidly businesses have grown through angel investment groups, that it has also been spreading in a very fast rate across America. It is also quite a unique website that opens with a blog home page. This blog home page links to a specific page for blogs with archiving functions.

Typical of an angel investment group website, the Boise Angel Alliance website also contains a brief history of how the group started. It has also sited its mission in creating such an organization. An added detail about their present state and future endeavors is also sited.
