    Angel Investor Group Profile
Centennial Investors FundingPost Venture Capital and Angel Investor Network
Founded in 2006, the Centennial Investors was developed by the Columbia Chamber of Commerce in response to the growing need of support from technology communities in the mid-Missouri region. The organization supports entrepreneurs from private sector and university groups by providing seed capital investment and management guidance in their start-up companies. In addition, the group aims to emphasize the profitable aspects of private businesses and laboratory research done by universities. The Centennial Investors is comprised of three essential components: 1) the Centennial Halo Fund 2) the Centennial Catalyst Fund and 3) the Centennial Angel Network.

The Centennial Halo Fund is created for members who plan to invest in start-up companies with less participation and involvement needed from them. The primary goal of the Fund is to provide the investors an above-average return on their investments. In addition, Halo Fund investments are determined by a specified number of members from the Centennial Angel Network. Once an agreement is made, the Board of Directors partly invests the capital needed for the transaction. Halo Fund investors pay an annual membership fee of $500.

The Centennial Catalyst Fund aims to provide early-stage companies with seed investment up to $25,000 to help them reach the initial milestones in their businesses. This support is to aid these entrepreneurs in attracting subsequent funding to further develop their product, service, and market finances. Likewise, the Catalyst Fund creates job opportunities to speed up economic and business growth in the mid-Missouri area. The group accepts sponsorships and funds from individuals and organizations that believes in the Catalyst Fund's mission to guide fledgling entrepreneurs on their way to success.

On the other hand, the Centennial Angel Network is a group of accredited investors who actively participates in the development of early-stage companies which qualified for investment. Once invited, shortlisted entrepreneurs present their business plans to members of the organization. Then, members provide constructive feedback on each company's potential in the market. This team of skilled entrepreneurs and executives believes that professional mentoring and guidance is the key to a successful business venture. Conversely, members gain access to the group's network of angel groups, venture capitalist firms, and business organizations in the mid-Missouri area. Network investors benefit in a community of shared interests as deal support, investment process, and due diligence procedures are done as a group. In addition, members pay a yearly membership fee of $500 that includes dinner meeting charges.

Membership to each group is invitational. Private investors are usually invited to attend a meeting with one of the Fund and Network's members to discuss their interest in joining the group. On the other hand, entrepreneurs are requested to submit their business plans online to facilitate the screening process of the Investment Committee on each group.
