Aside from supporting Boston-based industries, the Angel Healthcare also considers financing emerging ventures within the Northeast region. Enterprises that do not focus on life science and health care are also given opportunities depending on the qualifications and potential of the proposal. Typical seed investment ranges from $250,000 to $750,000 and exceptional business plans are also considered on follow-on funding.

For entrepreneurs who are looking for seed investment to finance their business ideas, the group values early-stage companies with exceptional value proposition and unique advantage against its competitors that include proprietary technology, patent, and easy market entry. Aside from coming up with well-defined marketing strategies to increase sales and revenues, companies must also devise a clear exit strategy within a three to five-year period. Enterprises must be managed by a competent team of entrepreneurs with direct experience in business-related ventures. Furthermore, the group seeks investments with reasonable equity valuation and can reach over $30M worth of revenue on its fifth year of operations.

Potential start-ups are requested to send their business plans through email. As a reminder, the network does not sign to any confidentiality or non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) so applicants must not include valuable or proprietary information on their proposals.

To date, the Angel Healthcare has already invested over $18M worth of capital in 30 companies with a total commitment of more than $500 million. The network's list of thriving portfolio companies includes Kairos Partners, Metabolix, Longwatch, TyRx Pharma, Westfield Capital Management, AutoGenomics, and Angstrom Medica.
