The Wisconsin Angel Network is an organization of angel investment groups and private capitalists that supports the growth of the investment industry in Wisconsin. It was founded in 2005 as an umbrella organization that provides resources and services to angel investment groups. Public and private initiatives such as the "Grow Wisconsin Plan" of Governor Jim Doyle and the Legislature's "Act 255" led to the establishment of the Wisconsin Angel Network.
The management and operation of the Wisconsin Angel Network is handled by the Wisconsin Technology Council. It has a full-time director and staff that provide support in facilitating the various functions of the organization. It also has an Angel Advisory Committee composed of successful leaders in the investment industry, the government, and the business sector. These committee members are dedicated to participating in the progress of the entrepreneurial environment in the state. The Wisconsin Angel Network also develops organizational partnerships to support its mission of cultivating the angel investment industry in the area. Aside from its angel investor members, it also has strategic corporate partners that participate in investment or formulate joint ventures on emerging companies.
Those who are interested to be a part of the Wisconsin Angel Network can apply as investor members, corporate strategic partners, or sponsors. Interested parties may request for an application form via electronic mail. Currently, the Wisconsin Angel Network is comprised of twenty-five investment organizations which raised its individual memberships to two hundred and fifty investors. These members have the benefit of accessing a wide array of investment prospects. Members can access a members-only page in the network's website where they can view important files and peruse company profiles.
Entrepreneurs who need funding can also apply to the Wisconsin Angel Network. An applicant should access the Wisconsin Angel Network website and create an entrepreneur's account. An account also includes a company profile and an executive summary. The data provided in this account would be used by the member investors to evaluate the qualifications of investment applicants. The account is also username and password-enabled if the need for updates in the future arises.

The Wisconsin Angel Network's homepage presents short descriptions about the angel network and links to other parts of the website. Logo links to the websites of partner organizations are also featured on the home page. A short history about the angel network is also provided through a tab. Another tab provides a news archive which includes the latest news about the Wisconsin Angel Network and the whole angel investment business. Email subscriptions to the latest news and updates about the network are also available on the website.
The Wisconsin Angel Network has developed a number of resources for entrepreneurs and investors. These free resources are all available on the website. Angel investment success stories in Wisconsin are also available. There is also an "eServices" tab in the website that shows the various services offered by the Wisconsin Angel Network to help entrepreneurs acquire investment capital. Some documents and templates are available for download as well as instructional videos.
The Wisconsin Angel Network website also provides membership details and sponsorship information. Applications for both membership and sponsorship are done online by submitting requests for application via email. A page in the website is also provided for member investors. It is a user name and password-protected page that holds vital information, including the company profiles of applicant companies. Application for funding, on the other hand, is done through an online system of registration. Submission of application means creating a company profile that is user name and password enabled. An applicant can log-in to this account for profile information updates.
