The Winter Park Angels is an organization of accredited investors who work together to support the growth of early-stage companies in the state of Florida through capital investments. Members of the investment group, through their unified expertise and experience, help each other achieve success. These members are also outstanding in their own right as business executives and entrepreneurs who have established the best companies in the country. The diversity of the group's membership enables it to explore investments on a vast expanse of industries. Due to their expertise, the members are also able to give proper guidance and mentoring to their companies of investment.

Members of the Winter Park Angels are accredited investors in accordance to the rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission of the United States. It is highly preferable that the individual annual income amount is higher than the qualification standards. It is also important that a member participates in at least two investments yearly and is willing to wait for investment returns. The amount of investment per member should be between $25,000 to $250,000. A member is also expected to devote at least a day or two for important investment activities, such as due diligence process and business plan evaluation. The credibility of an individual is also a significant factor for membership. This is why the members of the investment group have vital experiences as founders of outstanding companies or as business executives in large private companies with compelling investment experiences. Members also share their wide network of contacts in varied industries. All members have particular interest in mentoring emerging companies and are advocates of local economic progress. Individuals who are interested on membership should contact the group directly via electronic mail.

Winter Park Angels typically invests between $250,000 to $2 million on companies located in the central part of Florida. To qualify for funding, a company should be capable to generate high return of investment, potentially about $50 million in a span of five years. A company should be of an industry that is fit within the investment group's ideals and expertise. It should have a product or service that is technologically innovative and unique, as well as an edge in market competition, and an increasing market demand. The company's management team should be strong and passionate enough in attaining market leadership. It is also essentially required for a company to have a viable business plan that includes a realistic exit strategy. Applications for funding can be submitted through an online registration system that can be accessed in the group's website.

All applications for funding received by the Winter Park Angels will undergo screening. A company that would qualify on the initial screening will be invited for a business presentation to the investment group. Thirty minutes will be given for business presentation followed by fifteen minutes of panel discussion. After the presentation, member investors who are interested on the company shall perform a due diligence process. Thereafter, the terms and agreements shall be discussed to finalize the investment.

The home page of the Winter Park Angels website has an illustration of the stages of funding. It gives the website an interesting look and also educates those who are not well-versed about the investment business. The home page also provides a short background on the investment group that includes shortcut links to the Entrepreneurs' tabbed page and the Angel Investors tabbed page. The investors tab includes pages that gives extensive information about membership, like an overview of the members' benefits and responsibilities, member characteristics, and the essence of being an angel investor. There is also a page for the SEC regulations and another one for frequently asked questions. The entrepreneurs tab offers all the information about funding application, such as the investment criteria and funding process. An online registration system provided by AngelSoft can be accessed for the submission of funding applications. The system allows each applicant to create a profile that is password-enabled for future updates.

The website has a Resources tab that provides various links to websites and files. These links are very useful to entrepreneurs and those who are interested in the investment business. Funding applicants can also access the page to download the format and tips for business presentations. A Members page is also available on the website. It contains the list of names of the board of directors, members, and the executive director of the Winter Park angels. For the contact details of the investment group, the postal address, telephone number and email address are indicated on the bottom portion of each page.
