The Springboard Capital is an angel investment group based in Jacksonville, Florida. The group operates as a limited liability company managed by its own members. Its main purpose is to acquire substantial investment deals from companies that are in the early stage of development. All members are accredited investors who actively participate in the events and activities of the group. This includes the necessary investment processes such as evaluation of business plans, due diligence, mentoring, and many others. The members of Springboard Capital comes from a wide expanse of experience in various industries. They are also well-versed in the investment business while some are successful businessmen as well. The diversity of the group's knowledge and skills supports them with great credibility in handling investment deals with companies of varied natures.
About $250,000 to $750,000 of investment capital, with additional investments from members, can be provided by the Springboard Capital. The group usually has lead investment participation on companies located in the northeastern part of Florida but they can also co-invest with other angel investors or venture capital firms on companies from other regions. The group typically targets an early-stage company with exceptional potential for growth for its investment opportunities. A company applying for funding should also have a continuously growing market, a highly competitive market advantage which can provide a significant return of investment in the next four to seven years, a strategically formulated business plan, and a viable exit strategy. The company should also have a very strong and passionate management team that is dedicated to attain market leadership. The management team should also be open to the guidance and mentoring of the investment group.
Companies that would like to apply for funding from the Springboard Capital should first accomplish an investment inquiry form available on the group's website. The investment inquiry form, together with an executive summary and other supporting documents, should be submitted to the fund administrator. After an initial review, applications that are deemed appropriate to the ideals of the group will be forwarded to the screening team. A company that will pass the screening review will be invited to a formal business presentation to the entire group. Business presentations are usually held on the group's regular monthly meetings. After the presentation, a due diligence team will conduct further evaluation if the members are still interested on the applying company. Thereafter, the terms and agreements will be negotiated for the final investment.

The Springboard Capital website opens to a very simple home page that provides a brief description of the investment group. The home page provides links to the various tabs available in the website. A log-in page is also available for current members. A user name and password should be keyed-in to access a database of files and information on the investment group. To further be acquainted about the nature and activities of the investment group, an "About Us" page is available. This page provides information about the group and its members, as well as a quick run-through of the investment process. The names of the current officers are also posted on the same page. The page also contains a link to contact the group administrator. This link leads to the "Contact Us" tab page that provides the name and contact details of the administrator. To send an email to the administrator, the page also provides a contact form. After filling out the form, clicking the submit button will automatically send the inquiry to the administrator.
The portfolio of investments of the Springboard Capital is also provided in one of the tabs on the website. The companies are divided into two groups, namely the Springboard Capital I and Springboard Capital II portfolio of companies. There is also a tab for entrepreneurs that provides the process of fund application and where an investment inquiry form is available. This form can be printed out by applicant companies. After filling out the necessary information that the form indicates, it should be submitted to the administrator, together with an executive summary and other supporting documents. For a company to know the necessary requirements for funding application, a link is provided on the page where the investment focus and criteria can be downloaded. The guidelines for executive summaries and presentations can also be downloaded from the same page.
