    Central Texas Angel Network FundingPost Venture Capital and Angel Investor Network
    The Central Texas Angel Network is an angel investment group that is comprised of accredited investors in the Central Texas region. The group operates as a non-profit organization established and based in Austin, Texas. It facilitates the progress of early-stage companies in the area through investment funding and mentoring. Members of the group work together in identifying superior investment deals on emerging companies of high growth potential in support of local economic progress. The group is supported by various institutions in the trade industry, local schools of business, and other organizations. It already has successful investments with companies like Accuwater, CSIdentity, Naturally Curly, Order Corner, and Perception Software.

    The Central Texas Angel Network members are qualified accredited investors who have experience or are interested in the investment business. The group does not operate based on pooled fund, but on the members' independent investment decisions. Each member makes a minimum commitment of $25,000 worth of investment per deal. All members are experienced and skilled in their own respective fields or industries, such as in marketing or finance. Members are assured to have access on superior investment opportunities, as well as a privilege to enter into co-investment deals with other qualified investors or acquire investment opportunities from affiliate companies, such as the Houston Angel Network. However, membership to the Central Texas Angel Network is only invitational. An aspiring member should adhere to the rules of membership and conduct, as well as the membership agreement, and should be willing to pay an annual membership fee of $1,500.

    Those who are interested on investment in the Central Texas region are encouraged by the Central Texas Angel Network to attend an Entrepreneur Education Sessions. The schedule of the seminars is posted on the group's website, as well as the exact address of the venue. On the other hand, funding applications and business plans should be submitted through an online registration system that can be accessed through the group's website. The group provides as much as $2 million worth of funding on emerging companies located in Texas although any investment deal of $1 million and above should be accompanied by a lead investor with a ready terms sheet. An application fee worth $250 is also charged per company. For application deadlines, a schedule of the group's screening meetings is posted on its website.

    The Central Texas Angel Network website offers vital information on all aspects of investment. The home page offers a brief background about the investment group. The page also has shortcut links to the entrepreneurs tabbed page and membership tabbed page. A link to a podcast that gives an update about the investment group is also available on the home page. The names of the executive director and board of directors are also listed on the same page. Another page can be accessed to view the mission and responsibilities that the group works on as an investment organization. It mentions the organization's role towards each member investors and to emerging companies, as well as their contribution to the economic growth of the Central Texas region.

    Entrepreneurs are provided a page on the website that shows the steps of application funding. The page also gives a schedule for the Entrepreneur Education Sessions, as well as the location of the seminar. Those who want to participate on the seminar should send an RSVP to an electronic mail address provided. Applications for funding, together with business plans, can be submitted via an online registration system provided by AngelSoft. This system enables an applicant to create an account that is username and password-enabled. The schedule of the group's screening meetings is also posted on the page for the deadline of application submission. For other concerns, the email address and telephone number of the executive director is also included. Furthermore, the membership tabbed page has enumerated all the qualifications, benefits and other considerations for membership applicants.
